[AOSP] How to Install Android Marshmallow 6.0 on LG Optimus G

Android Marshmallow is now official and Its only available for Few devices officially . Android 6.0 Marshmallow Sources are out so developers can easily make Marshmallow Roms for the compatible devices .

Now you can unofficially update LG Optimus G ( E975/F180X ) to Android 6.0 Marshmallow ( AOSP ) . Thanks to DevSwift1 ( XDA developer ) For making 6.0 Marshmallow for LG Optimus G .

This Rom has some bugs so it is not suitable for daily use , so however you can flash this custom rom on LG Optimus G for testing Android 6.0 Marshmallow .

Prerequisite - 
  • You must be have rooted LG Optimus G E975/F180X .
  • You should have TWRP 2.8.6.2 and higher on LG Optimus G E975/F180X . ( If not - Download Here )

How to update LG Optimus G to Android 6.0 Marshmallow - 


Step 1. Download AOSP 6.0.0_r1 Custom Build From below .

Step 2. Boot to TWRP recovery .

Step 3. Wipe System , Data , Cache and Dakvik Cache ,

Step 4. Select Install Zip from SDcard and Select AOSP 6.0 Marshmallow zip that you downloaded following Step 1 .

Step 5. Reboot !
