Samsung is now rolling Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for several devices . After Samsung Flagship Smartphones ( who already got Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update ) , Samsung is rolling update for new devices .



Few days back we posted that Official Android 5.0 Lollipop is available for Galaxy Core prime , but now its Grand Prime Value Edition turn to get Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update .

This update is only for Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Value Edition SM-G531 . The update is available to download for Poland and Panama , Hence users can manually flash the firmware to their Grand Prime VE of different regions also !

How to Install Official Android 5.1.1 Lollipop in Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime VE -



Step 1. Download the firmware from below .

Step 2. Open Odin software in PC and select PDA as well as CSC from downloaded firmware .

Step 3. Boot your Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime VE in download mode and Connect your Smartphone to your PC via USB cable .

Step 4. Start odin and the firmware will start flashing automatically !

Saurabh Sinha a Moto E user has successfully captured the OTA update link and users can manually update Moto E 1st generation to Android 5.1 Lollipop .

How to update Moto E 1st generation to Android 5.1 Lollipop -


Note - You might find difficulty in Installing Update , As you need to follow exact procedure of updates ( 4.4.4 > 5.0.2 > 5.1.1 ) ! If you find any difficulty - Follow XDA Thread of 5.1 Lollipop .

Step 1. Download Lollipop Soak test zip and Rename it to " Blur_Version.23.21.34.condor_retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03 " .

Step 2. Place Lollipop Soak test zip into Your Internal as well as External Memory card .

Step 3. Reboot your Motorola Moto E once .

Step 4. Go to Settings > About device and System Update and check for Update .

Step 5. Your device will start Downloading Lollipop update and it will reboot automatically and Lollipop Update Installation will start .

Note - It will take some time to boot . 


Update - Those who are on kitkat ! First Install 341 mb ( 1st Update ) then > 13 mb ( 2nd update ) > 291 mb ( 5.1 update ) .

Step 1- Your devices must be rooted and has installed CoCore-E-Refresh r22. ( Every thing on Xda ) .

Step 2-Turn off the Galaxy S Advance and restart in Recovery Mode (Home + Power + Volume Up until the logo appears or the third vibration and release).

Step 3-Perform a factory reset by selecting and confirming the option "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" then "Wipe Cache". Some users prefer to ''Format System'' / ''Wipe Dalvik Cache'' at this point too.

Step 4-Then select "install zip from sd card" and locate the Omni Rom zip you downloaded before.

Step 5-Click "Yes" to confirm.

Moto E 2nd Generation is both available in 3G ( otus ) and 4G ( surnia ) . Moto E 2nd Generation has a great developer support and now many roms are available for it .

Thanks to squid2 ( Xda developer ) for making Cm12.1 for Moto E 2nd Generation 3G variant XT1506 . There are only few bugs in the rom which includes - Camera force stop ( some times ) , Video issue .

Moto G and Moto E might not get Android M update

In 2013 Motorola launched Moto G 1st Generation a mid ranged Smartphone and while in 2014 May , it launched the low end Smartphone i.e Moto E 1st Generation .

Both of the smartphones was most sold Smartphones at that time , also both the smartphones features great specification the this price range . 

Motorola Moto G and Moto E comes with Android 4.4.4 Kitkat and Motorola has also updated the Smartphones to Android 5.0 Lollipop and even 5.1 is now rolling out for Motorola Devices including Moto G and Moto E 1st Generation .

But these 1st Generation Motorola Devices may not get the Android M update officially by Motorola . 

Note - This is not the official statement by Company . Company can give Android M update  .

This is an assumption and we have reasons for that ! Else everything depends upon Company's offical Statement !

Why Moto G 1st Generation will not get Android M update ?

• Moto G 1st Generation being launched at 2013 November and Today is 2015 and its being more than 19 months for the device receiving Motorola Official Android updates and According Google Policy , The smartphone will not get official update after 18 months .

Why Moto E 1st Generation will not get Android M update ?

• Moto E 1st Generation which was launched in May 2014 and its being 1 year that Motorola is updating the device . Also Google has now released Android M developer preview and will launch official Android M update from November and so on Motorola will start giving updates to Motorola devices after 2016 and you still assume that Moto E 1st Generation will get Android M update ?

• Also Moto E 1st Generation features are not so amazing that they will handle Android M , It will boot with Android M but still it will be having some bugs and battery issue .

How to update Asus Zenfone 5 to Official Lollipop manually

Step 6. Now we will update Asus zenfone 5 to Android 5.0 Lollipop .

Step 7. Download the Android 5.0 Lollipop firmware for Asus zenfone 5 from below .

Step 8. Save the above downloaded bridge firmware to internal sdcard .



Step 9. Restart your Smartphone .

Step 10. After starting you will get a pop up box of Update , Click on ok .

Step 11. Now your Phone will be updated to Official Android 5.0 Lollipop 3.23.40.52 firmware .
