2.3% of All Devices have Android Marshmallow Installed

Every month Google updates Android distribution statistics . This time according to Google's Android distribution statistics , Marshmallow is running on 2.3% of all Android Devices .

Android Marshmallow share has grown upto 1.2% from past month . 



For now , Android Lollipop (5.0 and 5.1) is the most popular version of Google’s mobile operating system with a combined share of 36.1% , followed by Android Kitkat v4.4 with a share of 34.3%.

While Android Jelly bean  (4.1, 4.2, and 4.3) have a total share of 22.3% devices, followed by Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 had a share of 2.3%. Android Gingerbread 2.3 and Froyo 2.2 are still active with a share of 2.6% and 0.1% respectively.

Pokemon Go will only work on Android 4.3+ or iPhone 5 ( and above )

Niantic Games has already started registration for testing a preliminary Beta version of Pokemon Go  ( The Upcoming Real World Pokemon Game for Android and iOS ) in Japan .




For now Pokemon Go Beta version will only work on Android 4.3 or greater , while iOS devices needs atleast iPhone 5 to Play Pokemon Go .

[Guide] How to Downgrade Moto G 2nd Gen from Marshmallow to Lollipop

Moto G 2nd Generation comes with Android 4.4.4 Kitkat and was updated to Lollipop a year ago . Skipping Android 5.1.1 , Motorola Recently updated Android version of Moto G 2nd Generation to Marshmallow .

Now your Moto G 2nd Generation will boot to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop , If you are still getting problem or Your Phone doesn't Boot after following above process , Flash Marshmallow firmware again to restore it back .


Telus : Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update coming to Moto X Play

Telus has updated their software update schedule and they are going to roll out Marshmallow update for many devices this month .



Below is the dates and details of devices which will get the updates according to telus . Along with Moto X Play , many other nexus and samsung devices will be getting some updates .



But the Good thing is that Moto X Play will be the first Motorola device to get Android 6.0.1 update , Along with new Android update the device will get Bug Fixes + Enhancements + Security Update On 9th Of March .
