OnePlus 3/3T won’t get any major OS update after Android O

We all know that OnePlus is one of the fastest when it comes to updating it's flagship Smartphones to the latest Android OS. Additionally OxygenOS's stock-like interface has never taken too long to update.

OnePlus has reportedly confirmed that the "Flagship Killer" OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T won't be getting any major OS updates after Android O. OnePlus 3/3T are one of the best Smartphones of the year 2016 and there's no excuse to drop support for a device this soon. Not cool, OnePlus.


However, the company says that it will continue rolling out Security Patches. The OxygenOS 4.5 with August security patch for both the devices is on it's way.

That said, Google might unveil the final Android O this month. There's no information regarding when OnePlus will be rolling out the final Android O for its devices.

Motorola sends out invites for August 24 event; Moto X4 in Question

Motorola has sent out media invites for the event to be held on 24.08.17 at 10:00, but it did not states which smartphone they are going to launch. Motorola has a knack of teasing smartphones ahead of their official launch, and they are doing the same this time as well. 


The Invite shows that the Hellomoto girl is holding a slim Pure Black Smartphone which is an indication that Motorola will probably announce the Moto X4 or Moto Z2 Force.
Maybe Motorola is looking to announce the Moto Gs series in Brazil, or it maybe the Moto Z2 Force. That said, nothing is known for now from the company, and Motorola will tease it in upcoming days ahead of the launch, which will give a clear idea about what they are going to launch in the country.

We are humbled by the response to Nokia 3. Currently, we are ramping up our production for Nokia 3 on priority to meet the existing consumer demand. In the coming week, we will start production of Nokia 6 and Nokia 5 to get them ready for sales start by mid-august.

With Nokia 5, you get 5.2" HD display, Seamless aluminium unibody, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage with Support for up to 128 GB, Stock Android 7.0 Nougat. It comes with a 3000 mAh battery.

Camera wise, the Nokia 5 features 13MP rear camera with PDAF, 1.12um, f/2, dual tone flash, to the front there's a 8MP with AF, 1.12um, f/2, FOV 84 degrees. It comes in Tempered Blue, Silver, Matte Black and Copper color options.

Along with the Android 7.0 Nougat, Google also introduced a new update system that allows users with no "Updating Android" screens delaying the initial boot.

According to the new reports from XDA, Motorola is the first OEM to actually implement A/B partition system for Seamless System Updates.


Recently, the Moto Z2 Force got a new update and XDA Team discovered that it was having a familiar screen from his Pixel usage that mentioned the update was installing in the background. Additionally, the device booted right into an updated Android without any delay screen saying "Updating Android".

That said, this system has been highly beneficial and more OEMs should actually implement this feature to their upcoming Smartphones.

Motorola's final Moto X4 design and specifications leak

Just a day ago, we saw leaked Images allegedly confirming the design of the Moto X4 and now, AndroidAuthority has leaked final renders of the Moto X4 in all its glory.

According to the previous leaks, Motorola and Lenovo plans to launch the Moto X4 in the fourth quarter at a mid-tier price. Additionally Moto X4 will be the first non-Nexus-or-Pixel-branded handset to offer Fi-compatibility.

As you can see in the above image, the Moto X4 is having a curved display with front facing fingerprint sensor, which can be used for navigation as well. The aluminum back is having dual-rear camera with Moto branding.



The Moto X4 will feature a 5.2-inch Full HD glass layered display with 3D glass on top. The device will be available in Super Black or Sterling Blue measuring in at 148.35 x 73.4 x 7.99 mm and weighing in at 163 grams. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 630 chipset (eight cores all running at 2.2GHz), Adreno 508 GPU along with 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage. The device will sport a 3000mAh battery.


Europe, North America and Latin America will get 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, while the Asia Pacific region will get 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage

The Moto X4 will be the first Motorola smartphone after 2016, to feature IP68 level of certification. On the Camera side, it will feature a 16-megapixel front shooter which is designed for ultra low-light selfies and will come with an Adaptive Low Light mode. It will be capable of shooting 4k video at 30 frames per second or Full HD video at 60 frames per second.

The 12MP rear shooter will feature dual pixel autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and 1.4µm pixel size, while the other 8MP ultra-wide sensor will feature f/2.2 aperture, 1.12µm pixel size and 120° field of view. It will be having dual-LED flash, Phase Detection Autofocus and the ability to add depth of field effects. Sounds Great?
