Moto Z Play Android 7.1.1 Nougat Update

Motorola has already started rolling out Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for the Moto Z Play. We've seen the update coming to the Moto Z Play in Brazil with "retbr" software channel, in Canada for all Canadian carriers including Koodo, Rogers and Telus, and many others, in India with "retin" software channel, Indonesia and Hong Kong with "retapac" software channel.

The Moto Z Play is now getting Android 7.1.1 Nougat on "retus," "retgb" and "reteu" Software Channels.

Moto Z Android 7.1.1 Nougat Update

Along with the Moto Z Play, Motorola has started pushing the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for the Standard Moto Z. The update is now live in India with "retin" software channel, and in Canada for Bell users.

Moto Z users with "Reteu" Software channel have now started receiving the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update.

Moto Z Droid/Moto Z Force Droid Android 7.1.1 Update

[August 8, 2017] Moto Z Droid Edition and Moto Z Force Droid Edition at Verizon are now getting Android 7.1.1 Nougat update with July 1st Android Security Patch.

Moto X Play Android 7.1.1 Update

Android 7.1.1 Nougat update is already live for the Moto X Play in several Countries including India and Brazil. Additionally The Moto X Play running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on Rogers will get Android 7.x Nougat on October 31st, 2017.

Moto X Pure Android 7.1.1 Update

Along with the Moto X Play, Motorola has started pushing the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for the Moto X Pure.

Moto G4 Play Android 7.1.1 Nougat Update

The Moto G4 Play will also be getting Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Motorola has already started testing Android 7.1.1 Nougat on the Moto G4 Play.

Motorola is due to send the updates to the Moto G4 Play. However, if you want the 7.1.1 Nougat on your Moto G4 Play right now, you can sideload it by downloading and installing the Android 7.1.1 OTA Zip from XDA.

Android 7.1.1 Nougat for other Motorola devices?

We haven't seen any sign of the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for any other Motorola device apart from the few mentioned above.

The Moto devices likely to get Android 7.1.1 Nougat includes Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus, Moto X Style, Moto G5 Plus, and Moto G5.

Latest OnePlus 5T leaks fully reveal the phone's design

There's no denying the fact that OnePlus is working on next generation Smartphone. Already there are couple of leaks and rumors regarding the OnePlus 5T.

There have been several reports that OnePlus is considering moving the fingerprint scanner on the back and this will also allow OnePlus to implement the 18:9 6" display with 2160 x 1080p to the front.

Until now, we haven't seen the exact design of OnePlus 5T, but this is going to change today, thanks to weibo leak.

As you can see in the below image, the OnePlus 5T resembles the OnePlus 5 in terms of curves and camera design. The fingerprint sensor is now moved to the rear in favor gorgeous Full-Vision Display.

OnePlus 5T is expected to feature the Snapdragon 835 Processor, 6/8GB RAM, and 64/128 GB Internal storage.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro now receiving October security update

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro is now reportedly getting latest October security patch with Stability Improvement and Bug fixes.

If you own a J7 Pro you should have received the over-the-air update notification for October Security Patch, and it's crucial that you download it, as it brings along the fix for the critical severity vulnerability in media framework that could enable a remote attacker using a specially crafted file to execute arbitrary code within the context of a privileged process.

For now the update is only available for the Telcel-branded Galaxy J7 Pro with model no. SM-J730GM in Mexico and will be rolling out for other markets pretty soon.

If you haven't got the notification of this new software update yet, Just go to Settings - About Phone - Software updates, and It will automatically start downloading the latest update. Our first look at Upcoming AT&T Mobile TV Cast Moto Mod for Moto Z

The Moto Z is one of the most innovative Smartphone we've have ever seen. Being modular, Moto Z is designed to accommodate add-on modules that snap to the back of their cases. From a Simple Style Case to a Pico Projector, Moto Mods can be attached to the back of Moto Z, Moto Z force or Moto Z Play via magnetic pins.

Motorola is betting big on the future of Moto Mods, with the company promising at least 12 Moto Mods a year. Now according to the latest leak, Motorola with AT&T is planning to launch a new Moto Mod.

This new upcoming Moto Mod will be called AT&T Mobile TV Cast and will include a stick that users can plug into any compatible TV set, apparently allowing them to watch DirecTV.

The report further says that the Mod is ready to use with no pairing process required. All you need to do is plug-and-play. The Module will feature a 2,730 mAh battery which is really great.

Pixel 2 XL Gets the Teardown Treatment, Receives Decent Repairability Score

The recently announced Google Pixel 2 XL with 18:9 3D display gets the teardown treatment from IFixit with decent repairability score. A teardown is important as it will tell us if it is well-built or if it is easily repairable.

The Pixel 2 XL is water-resistant, which makes the phone hard to open. Once inside, you will see the fingerprint sensor cable attached to the motherboard, LG Battery and new heat pipe to keep the internals from overheating.

The phone may remind you a lot of the 2016 Pixel XL but this one has ditched the audio phone jack. Completing the camera system is an 12.2 MP, f/1.8 rear and 8MP selfie camera and a dual camera module with optical image stabilization.

Checking out the motherboard, you will see inside the RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 64GB or 128 GB internal flash storage, and USB C port. Most of the parts are easy to repair so IFixit gives a score of 6 out of 10, which is better than many other devices.
