The Redmi Note 5 Pro is finally receiving its stable Oreo update

The Redmi Note 5 Pro is finally receiving its full, stable Oreo update in India and few other countries where the device is available. The device had beta Oreo updates leaked out as far back as early March but a number of setbacks have seen users stuck waiting for the full update till now.

Users of the Redmi Note 5 Pro can finally rest easy, however, as Xiaomi says the software (V9.5.6.0.OEIMIFA) is currently being pushed in phases, so you may need to wait a little.

The update is one to Android 8.1, which is impressive, seeing as most other OEMs are still pushing Android 8.0. The update, also packaged as an upgrade to MIUI 9, brings Full Screen Gestures, Speed and Battery Improvement.

How to solve error 10008 in Developer Settings [Mi Unlock Status] while Adding an account to Unlock the Bootloader of Redmi Note 5 Pro and other Xiaomi Smartphones.

I've been using both the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro for a couple of weeks now and have found that both the devices shows an error while Adding an account in Developers Settings (Mi Unlock Status).

When you'll try to Add an account in the Developer Setting in order to Unlock your Mi/Redmi Smartphone you'll get a message "10008: 参数错误、 请参考API文档". Well, there's an fix to this issue.

All you need to do is download the Chinese VPN application named "快帆 海外华人听国内音乐看视频玩游戏的中国VPN工具" from the end of this guide. I've already tested tons of other VPN apps, and only the one i mentioned works.

Just Install the above Chinese VPN, you'll see two options below the round power button, just select the former and turn on the first option (as shown in the below image) to make the whole traffic of your applications go through VPN.
Finally, you're good to Add your account to the Mi Unlock Status Developer Settings. Enjoy Unlocking Bootloader.

Xiaomi's Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro both supports Quick Charge 2.0

Xiaomi's Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro both supports QuickCharge 2.0
Xiaomi recently announced the Redmi Note 5 (A.K.A Redmi 5 Plus) and Redmi Note 5 Pro with 18:9 Full Screen Display and Snapdragon 625 (Note 5), Snapdragon 636 (Note 5 Pro).

Both of these smartphones support Qualcomm’s Quick Charge?
Yes, both of them supports QuickCharge 2.0 through Micro USB.

A lot of Xiaomi’s smartphones don’t support Qualcomm’s Quick Charge, even though they have the necessary hardware. The reason is because the manufacturer doesn’t usually pay the license fee required to use the technology, which has been the case with the Mi A1 and Redmi Note 4.

Both the Redmi Note 5's and Redmi Note 5 Pro's Processor are also capable of using Quick Charge 3.0, but considering the price and specifications, Qualcomm QuickCharge 2.0 is used. Stay tuned to our Facebook and Twitter page to get the first News.
