How to Install Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on Samsung Galaxy S Advance I9070

Recently Samsung Galaxy S advance got Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow via Cyanogenmod 13 [ Thanks to Polishvodka ( XDA developer ) ] .

Cyanogenmod 13 ( Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow ) for S advance I9070/P :-

What's Working and What's Not -

• Boot: working
• Screen: working
• Touchscreen: working
• Wi-Fi: working
• Bluetooth: working, connected to speaker but no audio
• Vibrator: not working
• RIL: phone calling, data working, sms not tested, but probably working too
• Earpiece: working
• Camera: working (shooting photos)
• Camcorder: preview, after hitting record FC
• Sound: working
• Microphone: working
• Sensors: probably working
• SeLinux: turned off
• Graphics: 0 glitches, works good (probably)
• Storage: working (MTP on Windows PC mounts as "sdcard0" and "sdcard1")
• Recovery: working (TWRP)

BUGS  -  After installing gapps (OpenGapps) keyboard crashes, can't pass setupwizard , You can't access recovery .

Pre-requisite -

Rooted Samsung Galaxy Advance with Kitkat compatible Recovery ( Find Here ) .

So , Head ahead to How to Install Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on Samsung Galaxy S advance I9070 -

1.Download the  CyanogenMod 13 ( Marshmallow 6.0.1 )  Zip , Gapps and Keyboard fix zip from below  .

2.Make sure u have 50% of battery 

3. Put your Samsung galaxy s advance in recovery mode ( Pressing volume up + home button + power button )

4. Clear data and Clear cache  .

5. Select Install zip from sdcard and select CM13 ( Downloaded zip ) . 

6. After installing CM13 , Go to Settings > Apps .

7. In Apps, click the 3 dots on top right, and click "Show System Apps".

8. Now scroll down and find "Setup Wizard" with a green droid logo.

9. Click it and click "Permissions" and enable the 2 permissions.


10. Reboot back to TWRP .

11. Flash Gapps ( Link below ) and then flash Fix file .

12. Reboot !

After a long time Samsung Galaxy S advance users can taste a New Custom Rom . Thanks to Epirex ( Xda developer ) for building such Awesome Custom rom for Samsung Galaxy S advance .



MaxiCM is a new custom rom which is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and is available for Samsung Galaxy S advance .

How to Install Android 5.1.1 MaxiCM On Samsung Galaxy S advance I9070 - 


Step 1- Your devices must be rooted and is on 4.1.2 Jelly bean firmware and have Custom Recovery installed ( search on xda ) .

Step 2-Turn off the Galaxy S Advance and restart in Recovery Mode (Home + Power + Volume Up until the logo appears or the third vibration and release).

Step 3-Perform a factory reset by selecting and confirming the option "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" then "Wipe Cache" After that ''Format System'' .

Step 4-Then select "install zip from sd card" and locate the MaxiCM 5.1.1 zip you downloaded before.

Step 5- Click "Yes" to confirm.

Step 6-Return to the main Recovery Menu and select "Reboot System Now".

MIUI 6 for Samsung Galaxy S advance

MIUI 6 is based on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat firmware and is Latest MIUI Rom released . MIUI 6 comes with a lot of customization and colors . It is a Chinese rom , but it supports Multi language .



Samsung Galaxy S advance users can now Install MIUI 6 on their Smartphones , Thanks to PolishVodka xda developer for porting this beautiful Rom for I9070 S advance .



There are a bug -  video playback in stock browser ( Fix - Use Google Chrome ) .

How to Install MIUI 6 for Samsung Galaxy S advance



Step 1. Download The Rom from below .

Step 2. Place it in your Phone's Sdcard / External Sdcard .

Step 3. Boot to recovery mode .

Step 4. Wipe data , Cache , dalvik cache , format system .

Step 5. Select zip from Sdcard and Select the MIUI 6 rom you downloaded following Step 1.

Step 6. Reboot now .
