[MOD] Official Android 6.0 Marshmallow Touchwiz UI for Samsung S3 and Note 2

Recently Samsung released Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 / S6 edge . The update comes with new Touchwiz UI ( Which looks nice ) .




Hence Officially Marshmallow update will be only available for Recent and previous year flagships . So XDA devs created a Marshmallow Touchwiz UI Mod/Theme for Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2 .

How to Install Android 6.0 Marshmallow Touchwiz UI on Samsung S3 and Note 2 -

Note - This will only work on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat Touchwiz Rom ( Use Eclipse Rom for Best experience ) .

Eclipse Rom is both available for Note 2 and S3 ( Find it on Google / Xda )

Step 1. Download The MOD zip from below .

Step 2. Go to Custom Recovery ( TWRP ) .

Step 3. Install the mod and reboot .

Update Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 to Android 5.0 Lollipop ( Nameless rom )

Finally Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 users can now enjoy Android 5.0 lollipop on their devices . Also the great thing is its AOSP which will provide pure Android 5.0 Lollipop interface and experience without any bloatware and touchwiz .

Although Samsung is all planned to update some devices to Android 5.0 Lollipop in January , but it will be same touchwiz interface so better update now to Android 5.0 Lollipop AOSP ( Nameless rom ) .



Thanks to dhiru1602 ( Xda senior member ) which made it possible to Install Android 5.0 Lollipop on Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 .

Step 1. Download The Nameless Android 5.0 Lollipop Rom from Below .

Step 3. Reboot to recovery mode .

Step 4. Clear data , Cache and Select Install zip from SD card .

Step 5. Install Android 5.0 Lollipop Zip from SD card , wait for sometime and reboot . It will take sometime to boot .

Samsung galaxy S3 comes with Android 4.0.4 ICS . Samsung galaxy  S3 mini has 4.8 inch display , It comes with 1 GB ram and a quad core CPU which is clocked at 1.4 GHz . It has a 8 mp of Rear camera and a 1.9 mp Front camera .

Finally Samsung Galaxy S3 users can now taste Lollipop on their device , arter97 A senior Xda developer which makes Roms for S3 has successfully booted Android 5.0 Lollipop on Samsung Galaxy S3  ! 

Finally Unofficially Android 5.0 Lollipop Is out for S3  ! As we know Samsung will not provide even 4.4.2 Kitkat  for  S3 , So no more expectations from Samsung . 
So finally Android Lollipop Rom is Out based on Real Android 5.0 Lollipop .

Samsung galaxy s3 Got official android 4.4.2 KitKat : Finally

Finally Samsung galaxy s3 users got android 4.4.2 kitkat . Previously we posted that s3 is not getting android 4.4.2 kitkat update by Samsung and now Xda members ported official stock rom for note 2
Samsung UK Already said that Samsung galaxy s3 is not getting android 4.4.2 kitkat due to 1gb of ram . But the good news is Samsung galaxy s3 xda members Kryten2k35 , arter97 ,forumber2 and justarchi are made it successful to port Samsung galaxy s3 official kitkat rom . 
Samsung galaxy owners will be very happy to see Kitkat on their devices and that also official . The update which samsung will never give had given by their xda gods . One again Tech-droider salutes the porter of the rom .

Note - Its not stable yet so you will face some bugs while using it . But good news is that its official port and stable version will come soon . This rom is based on Note N7100 firmware .

Samsung Devices with 1gb Ram will Not get Kitkat update - Confirmed

Recently we posted that samsung galaxy s3 was not going to get any further update . May be it is because of 18 months policy that after the launch of device , it will get updates till 18 months only . But yesterday , Samsung cleared that They need approximately 2Gb or 1.5gb ram to make Samsung kitkat official roms . 1gb Ram cannot handle Samsung apps and Are hanging and giving Force close . This is the reason Why Samsung galaxy s3 was eliminated for getting further updates . Also Samsung is not even giving any updates to 1gb devices .

Here is the message from Samsung Uk, which confirmed No updates for 1gb devices-

“In order to facilitate an effective upgrade on the Google platform, various hardware performances such as the memory (RAM, ROM, etc.), multi-tasking capabilities, and display must meet certain technical expectations. The Galaxy S3 and S3 mini 3G versions come equipped with 1GB RAM, which does not allow them to effectively support the platform upgrade. As a result of the Galaxy S3 and S3 mini 3G versions’ hardware limitation, they cannot effectively support the platform upgrade while continuing to provide the best consumer experience. Samsung has decided not to roll-out the KitKat upgrade to Galaxy S3 and S3 mini 3G versions, and the KitKat upgrade will be available to the Galaxy S3 LTE version as the device’s 2GB RAM is enough to support the platform upgrade.” – Samsung Mobile UK

 More over Samsung introduced Samsung galaxy ace style with 512 mb ram and with kitkat out of the box .
Samsung is really doing wrong with the customers and instead of Further giving more updates , they are launching more and more smartphone , to increase their sales . Many pages of Facebook and comments are showing that the users will not further buy Samsung products .

And more devices with 1gb ram . If your manufacturer is samsung and your device has 1 gb ram , u will not get further updates . Maximum samsung will only update 1gb devices to 4.3.1 jelly bean .

Samsung galaxy s3 GT-I9300 Is not getting official android 4.4.2 KitKat update

And it is dooms day for Samsung galaxy s3 users . Recently Samsung galaxy s3 sprint version got android 4.4.2 Update but after the leak picture of devices getting android 4.4.2 kitkat update we got to know that s3 users are finally not getting android 4.4.2 kitkat update .Only  s3 GT-I9300 international variant will not get any further updates because of some unsolved issue . 15 minutes before Sammobile.com posted the confirmed kitkat update for devices and it became a very bad day for s3 users .

Also many users are also disappointing with Samsung decision . Samsung has declined the third generation Samsung smartphone to up date with kitkat because it has only 1gb ram , while other s3 variants comes with 2 gb of ram that are LTE and US models  .Also its being 18 months to launch Samsung  galaxy s3 and according to Samsung's 18 months policy there will be no further updates for the device .
