Moto Z 2018 Unboxing Photos: The Most Premium Motorola Phone

Just a few weeks back Motorola announced the Moto Z 2018 with top-notch specs and premium design. The entire package is available at a starting price of 9999 Yuan ($1500). But it seems that the company has no plans to launch the Moto Z 2018 outside China.

The Moto Z 2018 is basically the Moto Z2 Force with Gold touch, new accessories and brand new UI. The entire package comes inside a premium suitcase and includes the Moto Z 2018 along with a few Moto Mods.

The Moto Z 2018 launch in China celebrates Motorola's 45th anniversary in the mobile world. The package includes new Moto Mods including TurboPower for extra battery, Style Shell, and a Flip Cover Mod.

The VIP Package also includes premium earphones, USB Type-C cable for data syncing and charging, and a turbo charger.

Specifications wise the Moto Z 2018 features a 12MP dual sensor, measures 5.9mm, comes packed with the Snapdragon 835 processor clocked at 2.35GHz with 6/4GB of RAM. The screen size remains at 5.5" and it comes with a 2,730mAH battery.

OnePlus 5T Render Offers Direct Size Comparisons With OnePlus 5

Forget Nougat, You can now Install Android 8.0 Oreo on Moto G4 Play

Waiting for Android 7.0 Nougat Update for your Moto G4 Play? Well you can now Install Android 8.0 Oreo on your Moto G4 Play!

Now that Google has released the next version of Android, Android 8.0 Oreo, the wait for the devices to get the update first has already started. Motorola has already updated it's software support page with the list of its devices that will officially get the update.

We all know that Motorola is still due to update the Moto G4 Play to Android Nougat and Moto G4 Play won't be getting Android Oreo Update Officially. But you can now Install the latest Android 8.0 Oreo Unofficially via Custom ROM. Developer "althafvly" has successfully ported Android 8.0 Oreo crDroid for the Moto G4 Play. Additionally, most major aspects of the phone are working as expected (such as RIL, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.), but its still not usable for daily use.

With Android 8.0 Oreo, you'll get new Settings and Notification panel UI, latest features including Picture in Picture (PIP), Adaptive icons, Autofill, Notification timeout, and new emojis.

You'll need to Unlock Bootloader and Install TWRP Custom Recovery in-order to Install the Lineage OS 15 Android 8.0 Oreo Rom on Moto G4 Play Harpia. You can grab the Custom Rom ZIP file from below.
