And finally Moto G 2nd generation users can Install Cyanogenmod 12 Android 5.0.2 on their Smartphone . This is a new build in which all most every thing is working ! It is now ready for day to day use ! Only some sensors and GPS is not working ! But both the Sims are working well !

Hence Android 5.0 Lollipop is officially announced for Moto G 2nd Generation but Cyanogenmod os seems to be best among all the official builds !

Motorola has finally started rolling Official Android 5.0 Lollipop for Motorola Moto G 1st Generation ( 2013 variant ) In India . The new Android 5.0 Lollipop brings material User interface and Many changes in Android Interface . 

Android Lollipop OTA has been captured by a xda dev and Now you can install it manually , without loosing its warranty !

To install the update You just have to do the following -

Follow the steps To manually Install It -

Step 1. Download The OTA update Lollipop Zip from below !

Step 2. Put the zip in your Sdcard .

Step 3. Boot to stock recovery mode , using Power + volume down button , then use volume down and then volume up to enter recovery ! 

Step 4. Choose Apply update from Sdcard and select the zip you downloaded on Step 1.

Step 5. Enjoy Lollipop 5.0.2 on Your Moto G

The rom is amazing , but one can get confused in the Chinese language . So here is simple steps to follow so that you can change language to English .

How to Change Baidu Rom Language to English -



Step 1. - Go to settings -

Step 2- Slide left so that you can enter into More settings menu .

Step 3- Now find the Keyboard icon line and select it

Step 4- Now select the first option and there will be Written ENGLISH ( select the one ) .

And cleverior.ipul ( Xda developer ) suceeded in making a bug less recovery for Galaxy Core 2 .This is CWM version 6.0.3.57 in which you will be able to Install till KitKat 4.4.4 and above !

  

How to Install CWM ( clockworkmod recovery ) on amsung Galaxy Core 2 SM-G355H/M -




Step 1- Download the Packages from below . 


 Step 2- Install Proper drivers for Samsung Galaxy Core 2 and reboot your PC / Laptop . 

 Step 3- Extract Odin software and Recovery.zip on a folder . 

 Step 4- Open Odin software of PC as Administrator . 

 Step 5- Boot your Phone in Download mode by pressing ( Volume down + Home + Power Buttons).

Like other Motorola Smartphones you can Unlock Moto G 2nd Gen ( 2014 ) Bootloader also . Unlocking Bootloader voids warrenty , but still people Unlock Bootloader for Development Purposes .

Note -

We are not responsible for any damage caused to your Smartphone . 

Keep a backup of your data before following the steps , as Unlocking will wipe all your data .

By following this below guide , you can easily unlock your bootloader of Moto G 2nd Generation .

How to Unlock Bootloader of Moto G 2nd Gen ( 2014 ) -

Step 1. Download Minimal ADB and fastboot from below .

Step 2. Download and Install Latest Motorola Drivers from below .

Step 3. Go to Moto G 2nd Gen ( 2014 ) Settings > Developer Settings and Select Allow OEM Unlock .

Step 4. Switch off your Motorola Moto 2nd Gen ( 2014 ) and Boot to Fastboot mode by pressing Power + Volume down button at the same time .

Step 5. Now Open Minimal ADB and fastboot ( which you downloaded in step 2 ) on PC and open cmd from there .

Step 6. Connect your Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen ( 2014 ) to PC via USB cable .

Step 7. Type This on Cmd   fastboot oem get_unlock_data  .

You will get a String , just copy it and Paste it in a Notepad and remove empty spaces from it .

Step 8. Go to Motorola's website and Log in using your Google / Motorola Id and paste the Copied String on 6th Step .

Step 9. Now complete all the Steps at Motorola's Website and Request unlock key . 

Step 10. You will get an Unlock key at your mail id , just copy it .

Step 11. In Cmd ( which you opened following step 5 ) type -

fastboot devices 

It will check , your device is connected or not , after that type -

fastboot oem unlock Key 

Replace Key with the Unlock Key , you got on Step 10 .

So this Guide will cover how you can downgrade from Android 5.0 Lollipop to Android 4.4.4 Kitkat , Without Bricking your device .



How to Downgrade Your Moto G 2nd Generation ( 2014 ) from Android 5.0 Lollipop to Android 4.4.4 Kitkat -

Step 1. Download Latest XT1068 Android 4.4.4 Kitkat official Firmware from below .

Step 2. Download The tools which we will be using to downgrade from lollipop to kitkat , from below .

Step 3. After Downloading , Extract both the firmware package and The tools in the same folder ( Yes in the same folder ) .


Step 4. Reboot your Phone To bootloader mode and connect your Phone to PC via USB cable .

Step 5. Open Command Prompt on the same folder ( By - right click on mouse + shift button and open command window ) .

Step 6. Copy , Paste and run the following commands in The Command window .

Twrp recovery is the touch based custom recovery . Thanks to luca020400 ( Xda developer ) for Officially making it for Moto G 2nd Generation .

There are no bugs in the recovery , so you can flash it easily by following below steps -

Step 1.Download TWRP recovery from below .

Step 2. Flash it using any other recovery .

Step 1. Step 1.Download TWRP recovery from below .


Step 2. Go into bootloader mode (power off and hold power+vol down and release)

Step 3.Connect the phone to your PC

Step 4.Install Adb and Fastboot into your PC (if don't install yet) (Windows, Mac)

Step 5.From CMD or Terminal go into your the download folder and execute:

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

( rename the recovery image name to recovery.img)
