Moto X Play starts receiving Android 7.1.1 Nougat (Soak test) Update
Android 8.0 Oreo is now official and is already available for a few devices and there we've the Moto X Play users who are still waiting for Android Nougat update for their Smartphones.

Well, if you are a Moto X Play owner, then this report might be of interest to you. Motorola has started pushing the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for the Moto X Play Soak test users.


The update comes with latest August 2017 Security patch, New System icons, Duo Video calling application and other Android 7.1.1 goodies. The build number after the update is NPD26.48-24.

For now, the update is reportedly rolling out in phases for selected Moto X Play users. This means that the Android 7.1.1 Nougat won't be coming to all devices at once, but selected users enrolled in MFN will get the update for testing purpose.

A little few days ago, we reported that the Moto G5s Plus bought from Amazon India doesn't comes with Live depth Adjustment Bar.

However, Motorola is pushing a new update for the same, that apparently adds the Depth Adjustment Bar. Motorola also suggests users update the Camera application as soon as they receive the upgrade.


The update only adds Live Depth Adjustment Bar, and it doesn't bring any new features whatsoever. Previously, this feature was only available for Review units, which annoyed several users.

The update is already rolling out to the users of Moto G5s Plus from September 7. If you did not receive the update try checking for it manually by heading over to My Apps section in the Play Store.

Android 8.0 Oreo OTA update hits Nexus 6P
A little two weeks ago, Google announced Android 8.0 Oreo August 2017 Security patches for the Nexus and Pixel devices. The OTA's and Firmware are already available for selected phones.

Today, Google has started rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update though the OTA (Over-The-Air) for Nexus 6P users, it might still take some time for the update to reach all Nexus 6P owners.


With Android 8.0 Oreo, you get new Settings and Notification panel UI, latest features including Picture in Picture (PIP), Adaptive icons, Autofill, Notification timeout, and new emojis.

If you haven't received the notification of the update yet, you can check it out manually by going to About Phone Software update section in Settings. In case you want to manually Install the Firmware or OTA. You can grab Factory Image or OTA file from here.

OnePlus 3 closed beta group receives Official Android 8.0 Oreo

We all know that OnePlus is one of the fastest when it comes to updating it's flagship Smartphones to the latest Android OS. Additionally OxygenOS's stock-like interface has never taken too long to update.

OnePlus has already confirmed that the "Flagship Killer" OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T won't be getting any major OS updates after Android O.


Now, OnePlus has started rolling out the Official Android 8.0.0 Oreo update to OnePlus 3 Closed beta users. This means that the Oreo won't be coming to all users at once, but selected users will get the update for testing purpose.

The company says that it will continue testing the updates. Most major aspects of the phone are not working as expected (such as the NFC, WiFi, hotspot, and Bluetooth.)

Moto Z2 Force Update Brings Big List of Changes

Motorola is rolling out the a new update to the Moto Z2 Force at T-Mobile with several fixes, stability improvements, and feature additions. Motorola has also added Android Security Patch of August 1, 2017.


There are several new features as well, Netflix support has now been added to Insta-Share Projector Moto Mod. The update also includes Google Daydream support. Motorola has also improved the Wired headset compatibility and Front-facing video camera performance.

The update is already rolling out to the users of the Moto Z2 Force. If you did not receive the update wait for a few days or you can check it manually by going to Settings - About Phone - Software Updates.

Motorola’s instructions explain that for a successful installation, the battery in your phone should be at least 50% charged and your device should be connected to a Wi-Fi network or LTE.
