September Security OTA update hits Pixel and Nexus Devices
Every month, Google releases a new security update for the Nexus and Pixel line of devices. The Android security update for September 2017 is now live for a number of devices.

Pixel and Pixel XL users on Verizon are reportedly receiving a new update with build OPR3.170623.007 with 2017-09-01 Security Patch. Non-Verizon users are also getting the latest Security update, so that means it's clearly a wider rollout going on.

Few users are getting "Android 7.1.2" titled update, which is actually is Android 8.0 Oreo with the September security patches.

Along with the Duo Pixels, Nexuses are also getting the September security patch. We've seen the update coming to the Nexus 6P.

Google hasn't updated its Developer site with OTA and Firmware Images. We'll let you know once the Firmware files are out.

OnePlus sends out invites for September 19th event, likely for new phone
Just a few months back OnePlus announced the OnePlus 5 with Dual Cameras and Snapdragon 835 SoC. Now, the Chinese brand is planning to launch another product on 19 September.

As per reports OnePlus has sent out media invites for the event to be held in Paris saying "When the style meets its machine, one night in September in Paris…”. However, there is nothing revealed on what OnePlus will launch at the event.

According to Techadvisor, the mention of ‘machine’ means it could possibly be a phone. OnePlus has a knack of launching "Limited Designer Editions" of its Smartphones. So, it could be OnePlus 5 Limited Edition or even the brand new OnePlus 5T.

That said, We'll let you know once we get more information regarding this launch event. Stay tuned to our Facebook and Twitter page to get the first News.

Google Play Protect is breaking bluetooth on Moto G4 Smartphones

Google Play Protect is breaking bluetooth on Moto G4 Smartphones
The recently announced Google Play Protect helps you keep your device safe and secure. It runs a safety check on apps from the Google Play Store before you download them. It checks your device for potentially harmful apps from other sources, warns you about any detected potentially harmful apps found, and removes known harmful apps from your device.

Now, the Google Play Protect feature is mistaking a system app called Bluetooth Share 7.0 for something unsafe on several Moto G4 devices. Play Protect then disables the app and displays a message "Bluetooth Share 7.0 can damage your device, Uninstall/Remove now."

Once removed, your Bluetooth will fail when turned on. Since Bluetooth Sharing app is a system app and it cannot be uninstalled. You can revert the changes back (Enable the Bluetooth Sharing app) by going to Settings > Applications > Reset Application Settings.
