A New Android Vulnerability Gave the Hacker Complete Access of the Smartphone

Android operating system was never a secured one, starting from day 1 when it announced in 2007. Every year, attackers are exploiting the Android OS by hacking a user's device. And this article is also about the same attack happened recently.

However, the highlight of this new attack is that the hacker has got the access to the smartphone even when it's locked. As you can in the video, there's an attack called 'clickjacking,' which unknowingly takes the user's action on the screen, but he won't be aware of what he is doing.

"These attacks allow a malicious app to completely control the UI feedback loop and take over the device — without giving the user a chance to notice the malicious activity. These attacks only require two permissions that, in case the app is installed from the Play Store, the user does not need to explicitly grant and for which she is not even notified. Our user study indicates that these attacks are practical. These attacks affect all recent versions of Android (including the latest version, Android 7.1.2), and they are yet to be fixed," said by the attacker.

A Google Spokesperson in reply to the latest vulnerability said : We’ve been in close touch with the researchers and, as always, we appreciate their efforts to help keep our users safer. We have updated Google Play Protect — our security services on all Android devices with Google Play — to detect and prevent the installation of these apps. Prior to this report, we had already built new security protections into Android O that will further strengthen our protection from these issues, moving forward."

In Android O, Your Device's Proximity Sensor Can Turn Off the Ambient Display

Google introduced the Ambient display feature with the Google Marshmallow, copying Moto display feature. Ambient display basically shows all the notifications in a glance without completely turning on the screen.

All these days Ambient display used to activate when there' something moved on top of the proximity sensor, which was a kind of decent implementation. But with Android O, Google is taking it further.

In Android O, the ambient display with turn off by closing the proximity sensor. This would be really helpful. Although it may be irritating sometimes, it will be useful most of the time.

The feature would be rolled in Android O and some of the current Developer Preview owners of Android O are already experiencing the new feature.

Pokemon: Magikarp Jump Silently Lands in Google Play Store

Pokemon: Magikarp Jump is a relatively new game, which silently landed in Google Play Store today. As the name itself suggests, the game completely revolves around probably the weakest Pokemon in the entire series- Magikarp, which is a fish to be precise.

Initially, when the game begins, you will be assigned a trainer from the professor and your first assignment would be to grab a Magikarp by fishing. After adoping a Magikarp, the real game begins.

Over the time passes, you have to grow the Magikarp and make it ready for battling. Wondering what's the battle will be? Well, here's the answer- Two trainers with Magikarp's will take the battle and the Magikarp which jumps to a maximum height would be the winner.

Sounds odd, right? But, that's the game is all about. The game is already available globally for download from the Google Play Store. I suggest you don't waste your precious 53MB by downloading the Pokemon: Magikarp Jump.
