Motorola Mobility isn’t going away !

Yesterday we and many other blogs posted that Lenovo would be phasing out the Motorola name .



Today, on their official blog, Motorola posted that " Motorola Mobility isn’t going away , Motorola and Lenovo Will just work Together in this endeavor .

Motorola Mobility Will remain the Central Part of  Lenovo’s corporate architecture .



Here's the main Statement from Motorola - 

Now, as we have to think more holistically about our entire smartphone portfolio, we’ve made the decision to focus our marketing efforts on “Moto” and “Vibe” as our hero smartphone product brands globally. At the same time we are not abandoning the iconic Motorola brand. Although it will not be the focus of our marketing, it will continue to be used on packaging and elsewhere, so as to ensure that the rich history and association is never lost. The legacy and the goodwill associated with the Motorola brand will also live on through our licensees.


We also will now use the Lenovo brand to the fullest as we participate in one of the most competitive businesses in the world. Lenovo was recognized last October as one of Interbrand’s top 100 global brands. We are one of the few technology companies that can offer people a complete PC + tablet + smartphone experience and we see that as a major competitive advantage.

Moto G 3rd Gen ( AKA Moto G 2015 ) is finally getting Official Android 6.0 Marshmallow update . If you are a Moto G 3rd Gen user and want to update to Marshmallow then you can follow below steps .

[OTA] How to update Moto G 3rd Gen XT1550 to Official  Marshmallow -

Note - This will only work on XT1550 2GB Indian Moto G3 !

Step 1. Download the OTA update zip from below

Step 2. Reboot your Smartphone .

Step 3. Go to Settings > About Phone > System updates .

Step 4. You will get a Notification of  " New System update available " .

Step 5. Select " I'm In " and download the update and Install it .

Or

Step 1. Download the OTA update zip from below

Step 2. Boot to Stock Recovery mode

Step 3. Go to apply update from Sdcard

Step 4. Select The zip .

Step 5. Install it .

Finally Your Moto G 3rd Gen is updated to official Marshmallow .

Cyanogen OS 12.1.1 Promoting Microsoft Apps Via The 'Open With' Dialog

Recently Cyanoge Inc. Started rolling out Cyanogen 12.1.1 to OnePlus One , The update is of 68.8 mb that contains some bug fixes and Cortana embeded with Cyanogen Os .

We only thought that Cortana is embeded to Cyanogen OS , but Actually Microsoft got embeded along with Cortana . 

The file opening Dialogue is suggesting Microsoft apps even if you don't have them installed .

Microsoft is actually advertising its own application through Cyanogen OS .

Goodbye Motorola : The name dying this year !

Update - Motorola Mobility isn’t going away !

"Motorola" The brand name will be soon phased out by Lenovo. As Lenovo actually wants to unify the Products into one name.

Lenovo will be the company name on Motorola phones in the very near future ...

Accordingly the next Motorola Flagships will be called as " Lenevo Moto G Alpha " istead of " Motorla Moto G Alpha " . Motorola will launch Alpha series according to leaked Info , Read full news - Here .




Reports shows that Motorola M logo will be still used in 2016 Motorola Smartphones but the Smartphones will be called " Lenevo Moto " . ( May be they will also remove M logo in future ) .

I always wanted to Install Android as an OS on my Desktop ( And Dual-Boot it with Windows ) , But now i can !



Jide Technology has released Remix OS 2.0 which will be available from 12th January as free Download . The Os will run on majority of Intel and AMD devices such as PC and Mac.

• About Jide Technology -

The company which was founded by three Google ex-employees . They has developed Remix OS and thanks to their partnership with the Android-x86 project which enables Remix os to Run on Any PC regardless any major Specification .

• About Remix Os -

Remix Os is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop and will get upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow Soon . The Os will come with Google Play services embedded and Users can install any Application on their Remix OS .



The apps and Games can be used in Multiple windows letting users to use Multi-Window feature .
