Google Play Protect is breaking bluetooth on Moto G4 Smartphones

Google Play Protect is breaking bluetooth on Moto G4 Smartphones
The recently announced Google Play Protect helps you keep your device safe and secure. It runs a safety check on apps from the Google Play Store before you download them. It checks your device for potentially harmful apps from other sources, warns you about any detected potentially harmful apps found, and removes known harmful apps from your device.

Now, the Google Play Protect feature is mistaking a system app called Bluetooth Share 7.0 for something unsafe on several Moto G4 devices. Play Protect then disables the app and displays a message "Bluetooth Share 7.0 can damage your device, Uninstall/Remove now."

Once removed, your Bluetooth will fail when turned on. Since Bluetooth Sharing app is a system app and it cannot be uninstalled. You can revert the changes back (Enable the Bluetooth Sharing app) by going to Settings > Applications > Reset Application Settings.

Mi A1 Android One Firmware Ported to the Mi 5X

Mi A1 Android One Firmware Ported to the Mi 5X
Just yesterday, we reported that the Mi A1 firmware cannot be flashed on the Mi 5X because Mi A1 uses A/B system that the Pixel devices use. The A/B systems means that when the device gets an update it will be downloaded and installed on the second system partition and when you restart that second partition will swap to become System A instead of B to make the updating process seamless.

The A/B system can probably be altered by editing Boot Image files. Well, You can now Install Mi A1 Android One Firmware to the Mi 5X, Thanks to developer "heli0us". Additionally, all aspects of the phone are working as expected (No bugs).

You'll need to Unlock Bootloader and Install TWRP Custom Recovery in-order to Install the Android One Firmware on Mi 5X Tiffany. You can grab the Custom Rom ZIP file from below.

The Firmware is based on Google's latest Android 7.1 Nougat. However, Google plans to roll Android 8.0 Oreo update to Mi A1 by end of 2017, this also means that the Mi 5X will also get Android 8.0 Oreo via Port.

Beware: Mi A1 Firmware Bricks Mi 5X

We all know that the Mi A1 is exactly the carbon copy of the Mi 5X in terms of Hardware and Design but on the Software side the Mi A1 is powered with Google's own Stock Android Nougat while the Mi 5X runs Xiaomi's MIUI 9.

Additionally, the partitions are different between the two devices due to the Mi A1 using the A/B system that the Pixel devices uses. The A/B systems means that when the device gets an update it will be downloaded and installed on the second system partition and when you restart that second partition will swap to become System A instead of B to make the updating process seamless.

DON'T FLASH THE MI A1 ANDROID ONE FIRMWARE ON YOUR MI 5X, IT WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE.
