Gorilla Glass 6 Ink Jet Customization is Super Cool

Corning today unveiled its latest iteration of Smartphone Protection glass, Gorilla Glass 6 with significant improvement over its previous Gorilla Glass 5. It is Corning’s most durable glass to date and aims to offer unprecedented protection against multiple drops.

"Gorilla Glass 6 is an entirely new glass composition that can be chemically strengthened to give it significantly higher levels of compression than is possible with Gorilla Glass 5. This enables Gorilla Glass 6 to be more resistant to damage." – Dr. Jaymin Amin, Vice President – Technology and Product Development, Corning Gorilla Glass and Corning Specialty Materials.

Well, that's not all. Along with the announcement Corning also demonstrated a new technology called Ink Jet which can allow you to fully customize glass. You can create photorealistic smartphone backs, new glass textures, and more.

Corning is calling this cool technology as Corning Vibrant Ink Jet. Thoughts?

Here's the Mi A2 in Red, Gold, and Black

So, at this point, you all know Xiaomi is planning to announce the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite during a global launch event set for July 24 in Spain.

Basically, Just like last year, Xiaomi is reintroducing the Mi 6X as Mi A2 with Google's Android One for Global Markets.

Mi A2 features a 5.99-inch Full-screen IPS LCD panel with 18:9 aspect ratio. It has powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset that houses the Adreno 512 GPU. The Xiaomi Mi A2 will come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space. Here's the Mi A2 in Red, Gold, and Black color options.

As always you're going to see Xiaomi selling Gold and Black colors first, and after a few days, maybe weeks, or months they'll start selling the limited edition Red variant. That also in Flash Sales! Ah!

Nokia 6.1 Plus is the Nokia X6 with Android One, Available starting July 24th

[Updated] HMD just announced the Nokia 6.1 Plus for HongKong.. Great!

Just a few months back Nokia announced its first 19:9 Smartphone with Notch, the Nokia X6. It seems that the company is planning to launch it as Nokia 6.1 Plus for Global Markets.

According to XDA, HMD Global's Nokia 6.1 Plus is headed for Global Launch for July 24th in Hong Kong. The Nokia 6.1 Plus runs Android 8.1 Oreo as part of the Android One program.

Specifications of this phone includes a 5.8-inch 1080×2280 (19:9) IPS LCD, 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM, Snapdragon 636 SoC, and 3060mAh battery with Quick Charge. It got a dual camera setup comprised of a 16MP shooter and a 5MP shooter. The front-facing camera is a single 16MP shooter.

Moto G5s Plus users on Android 8.1 Oreo Soak test are now getting another Software update

Still waiting for the Android 8.1 Oreo update for your Moto Smartphone? All we know at this point is that, yes, Motorola is testing Oreo on few Moto G phones. The company isn’t providing a timetable like it did earlier this year, though. That’s likely because it doesn’t want to give false hope and disappointment to their customers.

Back in June, Motorola started rolling out Soak test of Android 8.1 Oreo for the Moto G5s Plus with June 1, 2018 Android security patch, Stability improvements and other interesting features along with Android 8.1 Oreo goodies.

Then again, there's another update for the Moto G5s Plus users running Android 8.1 Oreo Soak test. This latest software update features build no. of OPS28.65-7. Note the Highlights says it is Android 8.0, but it still is 8.1 Oreo.

The update brings Stability Improvements, Bug Fixes, and Camera enhancements. No, you won't get new Moto Actions with this update.
