Moto Z2 Play Gets Oreo Update in Brazil (Updated: India Too!)

Following the Moto Z, and Moto Z Play units picking up Android 8.0 Oreo Software, the update is now live for the Moto Z2 Play.

We've seen the update coming through Moto Z2 Play in Brazil (RETBR) and India (RETIN). It weighs around 1GB and features April 1, 2018 Security patch.

Android 8.0 Oreo update includes new Settings and Notification panel UI, Picture in Picture (PIP), Adaptive icons, Autofill, Notification timeout, and other Oreo goodies.

The stable build is rolling out as OPS27.76-12-25 for the Moto Z2 Play. Motorola’s instructions explain that for a successful installation, the battery in your phone should be at least 50% charged and your device should be connected to a Wi-Fi network or LTE.
