With this new UI, OnePlus aims to provide "Flat & Minimal, Reduction, Bold & Clean" user experience.
The Good Part is, this new UI is coming soon for the OnePlus 6 users. OnePlus Staff Member Officially confirmed that the OnePlus 6 will be getting the new User Interface changes. However, he didn't mentioned "When" or "How" they're planning to roll it out.

Flat & Minimal
We went for a slimmed down, minimalist design so users could focus on the important things. Why? Because we believe less is more.
Reduction
By reductionism we mean the fundamentals of good design, aka natural rather than cool.
Bold and clean focuses on the scale and words of the interface, so users know that we’ve nailed what’s important to them.
Trial & Tests
We started our design based on the direction our key words took us in. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. Now we have a new version of our visual style with a special font and new icons for a truly OnePlus feel. Individuality is at the heart of what we do. That’s what we want to give you through the OnePlus construct
