LineageOS gets new update, adds new Gallery App and Quick Settings tiles
LineageOS is the latest sensation among custom rom lovers and developers. We already know that the Lineage OS is a continuation of what CyanogenMod was, the LineageOS 14.1 is based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and has same build number system as CyanogenMod's.

Lineage OS is still in formation phase and the community developers are working actively to add new features to this project.
Now, the community has added some interesting new features to the custom rom including a new gallery app, more reliable LineageOS updater, new floating button in the Recorder app, and new Quick Settings tiles.



The new gallery application adds easier navigation between timeline, albums and videos, it also enables fullscreen video playback. The new floating button in the Recorder app allows you to choose when to begin a screen recording. Pressing record will create a floating view, from which you can begin the recording.



In addition to, the LineageOS now supports 15 new devices: Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, AT&T LG G3, Verizon LG G3, ZUK Z1, International Samsung Galaxy S4, Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4, International LG G5, T-Mobile LG V20, LeEco Le 2, YU Yuphoria, YU Yureka, Lenovo Vibe K5/K5 Plus, GSM LTE Samsung Galaxy Note II, SK Telecom Samsung Galaxy Note II, and Korea Samsung Galaxy Note II.

LineageOS gets One-handed mode Feature!


LineageOS is the latest sensation among custom rom lovers and developers. We already know that the Lineage OS is a continuation of what CyanogenMod was, the LineageOS 14.1 is based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and has same build number system as CyanogenMod's.



Lineage OS is still in formation phase and the community developers are working actively to add new features to this project. Now, the community has added some interesting new features to the custom rom, Check e'm out:


  • Addon SU for LineageOS 13.0 is fixed (addon-su-13)
  • Single Hand Mode has arrived! (oneHand)


Single Hand Mode feature comes enabled in all LineageOS 14.1 builds from 6th March 2017. To use the new Onehanded-mode feature on devices with on-screen navigation buttons, swipe right or left on the home button. On devices with hardware keys, you can set the trigger for this mode in "Settings > Buttons".

How to Install LineageOS on Motorola Moto Devices-

Prerequisite: 

  • A Moto G, Moto E, or Moto X Smartphone
Steps:

1. Unlock your Device's bootloader by following this Official Guide by Motorola


2. Download and Install TWRP on your Device by following "How to Install TWRP on "Your_Device_Name" at XDA-developers".

3. Download LineageOS for your Device from the appropriate above link and save it into your Device's External Storage.



4. Boot your Moto Smartphone to fastboot mode, Select recovery.

5. Clear Data, Cache and system (if needed)

6.  Select Install ZIP from SDcard, choose the LineageOS file, you downloaded earlier.

7. Reboot your device and enjoy Lineage Custom Rom based on Latest AndroidOS on your device.

CyanogenMod is dead, but the company will work on a new project named "Lineage" that will be used to define the custom Android releases.



Lineage OS (Another open-source operating system for smartphones and tablet, based on the Android mobile platform) will be a continuation of what CyanogenMod was, However Lineage OS is still in formation phase. The success of this project depend entirely on how much support it receives from the development community.


So, yes, this is us. LineageOS will be a continuation of what CyanogenMod was. To quote Andy Rubin, this is the definition of open. A company pulling their support out of an open source project does not mean it has to die.
