[Download][OTA] Official Android 5.1 update for Moto E

Recently we posted that Android 5.1 Lollipop is now rolling out for Motorola Moto E 1st generation in India .

Saurabh Sinha a Moto E user has successfully captured the OTA update link and users can manually update Moto E 1st generation to Android 5.1 Lollipop .

How to update Moto E 1st generation to Android 5.1 Lollipop -

Note - You might find difficulty in Installing Update , As you need to follow exact procedure of updates ( 4.4.4 > 5.0.2 > 5.1.1 ) ! If you find any difficulty - Follow XDA Thread of 5.1 Lollipop .

Step 1. Download Lollipop Soak test zip and Rename it to " Blur_Version.23.21.34.condor_retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03 " .

Step 2. Place Lollipop Soak test zip into Your Internal as well as External Memory card .

Step 3. Reboot your Motorola Moto E once .

Step 4. Go to Settings > About device and System Update and check for Update .

Step 5. Your device will start Downloading Lollipop update and it will reboot automatically and Lollipop Update Installation will start .

Note - It will take some time to boot .

Update - Those who are on kitkat ! First Install 341 mb ( 1st Update ) then > 13 mb ( 2nd update ) > 291 mb ( 5.1 update ) .

Update - Download ( OTA captured ) Official 5.1 Lollipop for Moto E

Motorola has started rolling Android 5.1 Lollipop for Moto E users in India . Users of Motorola Moto E 1st generation can now update their Smartphones to Android 5.1 Lollipop .

The update is now seeding for Indian users of Moto E 1st generation in Phases . Many users have already reported to get Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update . Users reported that it is not soak test ( as soak test was over last week ) .

The update is of 209.1 MB and is available for Moto E 1st generation users running on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop .

Android 5.1 update available for Moto E ( India )

Users who are running on Android 5.0.2 can update their Moto E 1st generation by just following below steps -

Step 1. You should be on Unlocked Bootloader and Stock Official 5.0.2 firmware to receive the update .

Step 2. Reboot your Moto E 1st generation .

Step 3. Go to Settings > About device and Software update .

Step 4. Now follow the steps and Install Android 5.1 OTA update .

Lava Iris X8 comes with 5 inch display , 8 GB variant with 1GB RAM and 16 GB variant with 2 GB Ram . This Rom is based on Lollipop and is made by Kiranveer Singh a member of XDA .

Step 3. Boot to Recovery mode and do full wipe of data and cache .

Step 4. Select Install zip from Sdcard and Select the zip you downloaded following Step 1.

Step 5. Reboot system now ! Booting might take 10-15 minutes !
