New $99 Android Flip Phone

Remember flip phones? We sure do. Flip phones were the most popular thing last decade, and now seem to be making a comeback. What we have here is the new ZTE CYMBAL-T, an interesting phone with a horrible name.

The new ZTE flip phone was just launched in the US and it's going to be an affordable $99 phone. It comes with a 3.5" touchscreen so you can operate the phone with either your keyboard or screen. There's also an external screen which tells you the time and recent notifications.

The phone also comes with a Snapdragon MSM8909 quad-core processor, clocked at 1.1GHz and 1GB of RAM. There's a 5MP/2MP set up, and it comes with Lollipop 5.0 according to ZTE.

What do you think? Do you still want a flip phone? Will you wait for Motorola or Samsung to release one?

Moto G 3rd Generation was one of the best Smartphone , until Marshmallow ruined it !

Few months back Motorola shared a information with us that " Moto G 3rd Generation breaks previous Moto G's sales record " , Motorola also added that it was the one of the Motorola's most sold smartphone .

Moto G 3rd Generation was launched back in July 2015 and I bought it Instantly just after first release . The Smartphone came with Stock Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS ( Motorola usually uses Pure vanilla Android for best performance ) and yes the performance was incredible in comparison with other smartphones , the battery was literally amazing and at this Cost ... Any Smartphone cannot beat Moto G 3rd Generation in terms of performance , quality and specifications  ( at that time ) .

All was Going well , Moto G 3rd generation was giving an amazing battery backup , one can usually spend a day playing games , listing music , surfing on web and chatting etc ... after charging it approx 100% .

Moto G 3rd Generation was one of the best Smartphone , until Marshmallow ruined it !

The Day when Marshmallow update came , I wasn't that much excited to update my smartphone , but I updated it to 6.0 just to make a review of Marshmallow update effect on Moto G 3rd generation .

Read it Here - Motorola Moto G 3rd Gen : Before and After Marshmallow Update

After updating my Moto G 3rd Generation to Marshmallow , It started heating just after normal use , the battery life became terrible ( One have to charge it two times a day ) , UI was a little bit laggy , External SD card was not accessible and many worse changes were that that covered the Good changes .

The thing was , one cannot even downgrade it to Official Lollipop 5.1.1 ( without unlocking bootloader , rooting and flashing lollipop rom ) .

After few months , I got used to of using Marshmallow 6.0 on Moto G 3rd Generation then got a new big update of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and that was just like " icing on a ruined cake " .

Also read - Moto G 3rd Gen , Marshmallow 6.0.1 vs 6.0

Android 6.0.1 bought many new changes , but again the changes was for bad ! Wifi and Screen ate my 60% Smartphone's battery , Moto G 3rd Generation started heating badly ( The Temperature of Screen becomes too high after a normal use ) , Ghost touch issue was there and yes now i can say " Moto G 3rd Generation was one of the best Smartphone , until Marshmallow ruined it ! " .

The change is not always for Good ! Share your experience of Marshmallow update on Moto G3 by Commenting below !

Geekbench 3 is used to measure the full potential of device's processor , Marshmallow really increased the performance as well as potential of Moto G 3rd Generation .

Battery -

Battery Life Lollipop Vs Marshmallow ( Moto G 2015 )

Moto G 3rd Generation takes approx 2 hours 10 minutes to get fully charged from 1% to 100% on both Android Lollipop and Marshmallow .

After Marshmallow update the Battery life got terrible , Battery will be draining a lot faster than Lollipop after Marshmallow update . It can be seen that WIFI is eating a lot ( approx 40% ) of Battery in Marshmallow .

On Android 5.1.1 Lollipop ,When Charged Battery to 100% , Battery lasted for 1 day, 7 hours, 26 minutes , After a normal usage .

In Marshmallow it lasted only for 1 day, 1 hour, 3 minutes .

Dialler -

Dialler Lollipop Vs Marshmallow ( Moto G 2015 )

The new Marshmallow Dialler has some advance settings and new Recents Style , that is better than Lollipop's Recents .

Pros and Cons of Marshmallow update on Moto G 2015

Pros -

  • Smooth UI
  • Better RAM management
  • Now on Tap
  • Expandable Storage
  • Advance USB connection Options

Cons -

  • Battery life is terrible
  • Can't access Sdcard from PC ( Though it can be fixed )
  • Double Chop For Torch Isn't working that easily !
  • No option to Mute Camera Shutter Sound .

Marshmallow is good , but not for Moto G 3rd Generation ! Moto G 3rd Generation was always better in Lollipop . All One wants is a great battery life and For now Marshmallow can't provide that . May be that will be fixed in 6.0.1 Update .

All I can say 5.1.1 Lollipop was better than 6.0 Marshmallow on Moto G 3rd Generation !

Comment below , whats your experience with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on Moto G 2015 !
