Update - Cyanogenmod 12.1 Android 5.1.1 For Unite 2

Micromax Unite 2 , the most popular low priced Micromax Phone has got Official Android 5.0.2 Lollipop by Micromax . But Micromax has no plans to update it to Android 5.1.1 .

Since Micromax Unite 2 A106 is most popular low priced device , so it has full developer support and finally a developer ( Vijay Jeswal ) has ported Cyanogenmod 12 i.e based on Android 5.0.2 with advance features .



The Custom Rom has few bugs which includes - GPS , FM radio , USSD , Apps force close etc . Cyanogenmod 12.0.2 comes with many new features and has less bugs than Official Android 5.0.2 lollipop .

How to Install [Cyanogenmod 12] Android 5.0.2 on Micromax Unite 2 A106 -

Note - You must be on Kitkat 4.4.4 in order to Install Cm12 on Micromax Unite 2 .

Step 1. Download Cyanogenmod 12 Android 5.0.2 Custom Rom and Carliv 3.0 recovery below . Install the recovery using Flashify or Rashr ( Download App from Google Play ).

Step 2. Place The Rom in your sdcard .

Step 3. Go to recovery mode and Clear data and Clear cache .

Step 4. Select Install Zip from sdcard and select the zip you downloaded following Step 1. 

Step 5. Re-Boot your Micromax Unite 2 .

Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 comes with Android 4.4.2 Kitkat out of the box and Samsung has already announced that they will not update devices with 1.5Gb RAM . 



Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 can be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop by Installing A Custom Rom , which look similar to Samsung Lollipop ( Touchwiz ) user interface .

Step 2. Place it in your Phone's Sdcard .

Step 3. Boot to recovery mode custom recovery .

Step 4. Wipe data .

Step 5. Select Install zip from Sdcard and choose the Rom you downloaded following Step 1. 

Step 6. Reboot .

[Update] Motorola is now updating Moto X 1st Generation XT1052 with official Android 5.1 Lollipop update in Australia , Hong Kong , India , Kuwait , Malaysia , Oman , Qatar , Saudi Arabia , Singapore ,United Arab Emirates , Belgium , Italy , Netherlands , Spain .



Only Moto x 1st Generation Asia-Pacific XT1052 edition is getting Over The Air update . The update seems to be of Size 688 MB and will update your Moto X to Latest Android version i.e Android 5.1 Lollipop .
