Reliance Jio reportedly working on a 4G feature phone under ₹1,500

Reliance Jio is reportedly working on a 4G feature phone which is likely to be sourced from Chinese contract manufacturers like Techchain, FortuneShip and Uniscope. The telecom giant's 4G VoLTE feature phone will be priced under ₹1,500 in India, if the reports are believed to be true.

Reliance is waiting for engineering samples from the Chinese contract manufacturers and will place order only after test and verification of these devices for commercial use. The company has not yet commented on these developments.

Once the commercial orders are placed, Reliance is believed to
import these handset and eventually start producing them within the country.

Currently, the market is flooded with 4G feature phones by Lava and Micromax, which start at Rs 3,000, while the one from Jio’s Lyf brand with 4G capability costs at ₹2,999.

“Indian handset market will see a jump in 4G feature phones sales after July this year when Reliance Jio is expected to come in the picture with lower priced 4G feature phones, as the prices of these phones are currently high in Indian market,” said Jaipal Singh, Market Analyst of research firm International Data Corporation

An Old Samsung Galaxy S8 Patent Leaked Online Shows the Device With Hardware Capacitive Home Button

An Old Samsung Galaxy S8 Patent Leaked Online Shows the Device With Hardware Capacitive Home Button

With the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, the South Korean smartphone company has taken us to the future of bezel-less display phones. To keep the bezels of the phone minimal, Samsung moved the fingerprint scanner to the back and added an on-screen navigation force touch key.

An old patent of the Galaxy S8 has leaked online today, and there's a surprise for all of us. Samsung has initially patented the device with a hardware home button below the display, and it looks absolutely weird.

Samsung has a knack of patenting various designs of their handsets, but later on, decides with a single and final model. This might be the similar case. It's good to see that Samsung did not choose this design.

Also, there was another rumor recently popped online showing a dual camera setup at the rear, but that did not make into final cut as well. The dual rear camera setup is expected to make its way with the Galaxy Note 8.

Problems Mount for Samsung as Several Galaxy S8 Users are Reporting Random Reboots

Problems Mount for Samsung as Several Galaxy S8 Users are Reporting Random Reboots
While Samsung is still recovering from the Galaxy Note 7 debacle, new problems for the South Korean giant continues to mount on the company, but this time in the form of its latest flagship phone, Samsung Galaxy S8.

Recently, Samsung announced the Galaxy S8 and S8+ and immediately after the launch, several users reported a red tint on display and later on, some people claimed that the IRIS scanner is not working on their phones. Samsung pushed a software update to fix the red tint issue, and some users are still waiting for the upgrade.

And today, some users are claiming that their Galaxy S8 is rebooting randomly without any signaling. Before the reboot, the device will either freeze or locks up and then reboots. That said, the issue has now been taken through Samsung forums, and we're waiting for a Samsung official to respond.

That said, this is underwhelming from Samsung' standards. Issues like these will degrade the company's moral. We will keep you updated once after Samsung replies back in its forum.
