Galaxy S6, S6 edge and S6 active are now getting Android 7.0 Nougat on AT&T

Samsung and AT&T are now pushing latest Android 7.0 Nougat software to the Galaxy S6 (SM-G920A), S6 edge (SM-G925A) and the rugged S6 Active (SM-G890A).



The update comes with latest new UX,various performance modes, new notification panel and other interesting features along with Android Nougat goodies. The software update also removes existing AT&T bloatwares including Address Book and MobiTV apps.

The update weighs in at around 1.2GB for the Galaxy S6, 1.3GB for the S6 edge. The build number is NRD90M.GxxAUCU6EQCF for all the three devices. The update includes April 2017 Security patch.

Qualcomm may announce Snapdragon 660 SoC on May 9th
According to the latest reports out from China, Qualcomm could announce the rumored Snapdragon 660 SoC on May 9th. 

If the reports are believed to be true, the chip will power the upcoming Samsung Galaxy C Smartphone, Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2, Xiaomi Mi Max 2, Oppo R11, Vivo X9s Plus and the Nokia 7 and Nokia 8.



Going with earlier leaks, Qualcomm's mid-range chipset Snapdragon 660 is said to be come with similar specifications as the Snapdragon 820. The chipset appears to be built up on Samsung’s 14nm FinFet LPP manufacturing process, with four 2.2 GHz cores and four 1.9 GHz cores. The chip employs an Adreno 512 GPU, X10 baseband, and two channel LPDDR4X-1866 memory with UFS 2.1 flash memory. It also supports Quick Charge 4.0.
