Beware: Mi A1 Firmware Bricks Mi 5X

We all know that the Mi A1 is exactly the carbon copy of the Mi 5X in terms of Hardware and Design but on the Software side the Mi A1 is powered with Google's own Stock Android Nougat while the Mi 5X runs Xiaomi's MIUI 9.

Additionally, the partitions are different between the two devices due to the Mi A1 using the A/B system that the Pixel devices uses. The A/B systems means that when the device gets an update it will be downloaded and installed on the second system partition and when you restart that second partition will swap to become System A instead of B to make the updating process seamless.

DON'T FLASH THE MI A1 ANDROID ONE FIRMWARE ON YOUR MI 5X, IT WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE.

With the Mi A1, you get a 5.5-inch FHD LTPS IPS LCD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage plus microSD support up to 128GB, 12MP Wide Angle + 12MP Telephoto (Same like the iPhone 7 Plus) for the best low-light, zoom and anti-blur photos with enhanced image processing, 5MP front camera, 3080mAh battery, and Android 7.0 Nougat.

The Xiaomi Mi A1 will be available Offline and Online in India starting 14,999 INR (233 USD) on September 12.

Motorola Working on Android One Device, Based on the Moto X4

Just a few days ago Google partnered with Xiaomi and launched it's Mi A1 (Android One) Smartphone. Now It appears that Motorola may be working with Google on a brand new Android One Smartphone.

According to a latest leaked picture it appears that the Android One smartphone is going to be based on the Moto X4 from Motorola, which was announced this month. The Moto X4 has a 5.2-inch full HD display, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, with 4GB of RAM, 32/64GB of storage and a 3000mAh battery inside powering the device. It does also have dual 12+8 megapixel cameras on the back of the device, and it is made of glass with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

With the recently announced Mi A1, Google promised that the latest Android One devices will be getting Android Oreo by the end of 2017 and Android P whenever available.

If you ask me, I'm really excited to see Google working with Motorola for the software of the Moto X4. Unlike the Moto X Play and other Moto X devices, the Moto X4 would get direct updates from Google eliminating the delays. Share your thoughts in the below comment section!!
