Now that Google has released the next version of Android, Android 8.0 Oreo, the wait for the devices to get the update has already started. Nokia has already announced the list of devices getting Android 8.0 Oreo.

Android Oreo comes with numerous enhancements over Android Nougat, such as faster booting, new Settings and Quick-Settings UI, Picture in Picture (PIP), Adaptive icons, Autofill, Notification timeout, Nokia might also add several new features to the latest software update. Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Nokia 6 would also feature the latest Security Patch.


If you own a Nokia 6, you'll have to sign up for HMD's beta labs program, and enter your device details. Once your phone is enrolled, you'll receive beta builds as and when they're available.

Assuming this beta test works out OK for testers, we nufgr see stable Oreo build sometime early next year.

Samsung has finally unveiled the most anticipated new Galaxy A8 2018 Smartphones. Please welcome in the Galaxy A8, and Galaxy A8 Plus with a whole new design and Dual Front Camera.

Both the Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8 Plus features Dual Front Camera, a large Infinity Display and stunning ergonomic design. 


“With the release of the Galaxy A8(2018) and A8+(2018), we’re bringing our customers’ favorite features from our flagship smartphones, such as the Infinity Display and our first Dual Front Camera with Live Focus, to our Galaxy A series, which is already known for its premium design,” said Junho Park, Vice President of Global Product Planning, Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8+ features 5.6" and 6.0" FHD+ Super Amoled 18.5:9 display, 16MP F1.7 rear camera and 16MP+8MP F1.9 Dual Front Camera, NFC, IP68 water and dust resistance, Android 7.1.1 Nougat, 4GB RAM (6GB RAM for A8+), 32/64GB Internal Storage, and an Exynos 7885 Octa Core CPU. The Samsung Galaxy A8 features 3,000mAh battery, while the A8 Plus features a giant 3,500mAh battery.

The Galaxy A8 starts at €499, while the A8+ (2018) will cost €599. Both the phones will be available starting early January 2018.

The Nokia 6 and Nokia 8 are getting new software update with latest Android security patch, bug fixes, and improvements.

If you own a Nokia 6 or Nokia 8, you should have received the over-the-air update notification for December 1 Android security update. While this update would have been more exciting if it had brought Android 8.0 Oreo for Nokia 6, which is already available for Nokia 8.


Nokia's instructions explain that for a successful installation, the battery in your phone should be at least 50% charged and your device should be connected to a Wi-Fi network or LTE.

If you haven't got the notification of this new software update yet, Just go to Settings - About Phone - Software updates, and It will automatically start downloading the latest update. The update will take around 10-15 minutes to get Installed on your device.

How to Install Android 8.1 Oreo LineageOS 15.1 ROM on Moto G 2nd Generation:

Step 1: Download LineageOS 15.1 Android 8.1 Oreo custom ROM and Google Apps on to your Smartphone.

Step 2: Boot to TWRP Mode.

Step 3: Once entering the TWRP settings menu, clear phone's memory (full) by selecting 'Wipe' option. Once done, select 'Swipe to Factory Reset' perform factory reset.

Step 4: Return to TWRP settings and tap 'Install' by the selecting .Zip file in the phone's memory.

Step 5: Come back to TWRP menu setting to approve the installation by tapping 'Swipe to Confirm Flash'

Step 6: Flashing of the custom ROM begins and after few minutes, a message 'Successful' appears on the screen, thus completing installation.
