In recent months, we've seen Motorola come up with some cool Moto Mods for its Moto Z line of smartphones, but a Mods challenge was also launched, with competitions in the US, India, Argentina and China. Now it's time to show one of the contestants.



This is the Storage Mod. It's a powerful Mod that's a 2,800mAH battery pack with wireless charging but the battery feature won't be its main one. There's a microSD slot, a headphone jack, USB ports, HDMI ports, and a remote control feature on the upper part of the Mod, so you can use it to change channels on your TV.

LG to release Nougat for G4 in third quarter, V10 in second half of this year


South Korean tech giant LG has already updated few of its newly launched Smartphones to Android 7.0 Nougat. Now, the company has decided to offer the latest Android OS for the V10 and G4.

LG plans to update the V10 in the second half of this year and the G4 in the third quarter. Note that this schedule applies to phones sold in South Korea, while the consumers using the specific models outside of the South Korea will be notified in a separate schedule later.

The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are now official, both of the devices comes with beautiful metal-body design, competitive specs and a bunch of new features.

Last month at MWC, Lenovo revealed the 2017 Motorola Moto G Series including Moto G5 Plus and Moto G5. The G5 Plus being 5.2" Smartphone while the Moto G5 is a 5" Smartphone with low end features.

The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus is going to be launched next week in Brazil and Mexico, while the Indian launch is set for 15th of March. The Smartphone finally gets its first unboxing video revealing that Moto by Lenovo "Motorola" brand is back! Lenovo has used Motorola branding several times on the box.

Gboard 6.1 Beta brings improved theme selector, built-in Translator, and more

Latest Gboard (Google keyboard) update brings new features including built-in Translate, new theme selector, emoji prediction and support for the Bashkir language.

The built-in translator lets you type text in your language and automatically translates and enter the translated text in the text field as you type. For now, this feature only works when online.


The new update also brings, a new theme selector UI, which separates solid color themes, recently used, Custom and Landscapes into separate rows. "Landscapes" is a collection of stock images that can be used as background images.

Lenovo decides to use Motorola branding again!

Last year, after acquiring Motorola, Lenovo decided to phase out the Motorola name from its smartphones, and instead use 'Moto by Lenovo'. However, this is going to get over very soon.

According to CNET, Lenovo will no longer shy away from using the Motorola name, Instead we will soon see the Motorola batwing back in action.



In an interview with CNET,  Huckfeldt said, "It was foolish to throw it overboard." He adds, "Give us 12 months, and everyone in the US will know the new Motorola."

Moreover, Lenovo plans to bring Motorola brand globally and eventually phase out the other names including ZUK.

Google confirms Pixel 2 is coming this year & it's staying premium!



In 2016 we saw some incredible decisions taken by some of the reputed companies over the globe. One such decision that stands out from every other is that Google releasing their own smartphones. The Google Pixel phones were the search giant's first attempt to take on the Apple iPhone. 

And, they succeeded in doing that. The Pixel XL is widely regarded as the best smartphone of 2016 and best camera smartphone of all time. 


The latest rumors about Google's upcoming flagship date from January claimed that Google is working on a budget-segment "Pixel 2B". Despite of all these rumors, Rick Osterloh (Google's head of hardware) has confirmed that the second-generation Google Pixel will be released this year and will remain "premium".


"There is an annual rhythm in the industry. So, you can count on us to follow it."


"Pixel stays premium, Google will continue to leave lower price segments to other manufacturers."

With the Pixel 2, Google is expected to bring new features and upgrades with some improvements in various areas like the camera, design and SoC.

The Google Assistant is now live for the English users in the U.S., users living in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom, as well as German speakers in Germany.
