The confirmation came from the Chief Product Officer of HMD Global, Juho Sarvikas. It's really exciting to see that Nokia is actually taking initiatives to update their low-end Smartphone to the latest Android OS.
A month back, HMD Global CEO Arto Nummela said "What we are now committing (to) is that whenever a consumer buys a device, two years from that we will do the updates" and that's something really great! You are probably waiting for the Lenovo IFA live event, but the Moto X4 is now official with enhanced features such as a smart camera, IP68 rating and Amazon Alexa, an intelligent interface, that offer a new level of functionality and convenience.
As for the rest of the story that has been leaked in various forms over the past weeks, this is what we are looking at. So, we have a "new era of smartphone design".
With the Moto X4, you get a 5.2-inch Full-HD glass layered display with 3D glass on top, Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 2.2 GHz octa-core processor, 3/4GB RAM, 32/64GB storage plus microSD support up to 256GB, Dual Pixel 12+8MP rear camera for the best low-light, zoom and blur background with enhanced image processing, 16MP front camera with Panoramic Selfie, 3000mAh battery with Turbo-charging, IP68 water and dust resistance, and Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
What else new, though? Well, you get Corning Gorilla Glass protecting the front and back of the devices from scratches, Integrated Amazon Alexa Assistant, Quick Screenshot feature which allows you to just place three fingers on the screen for a moment to capture a screenshot anytime, and Moto Key to access your favorite password-secured websites on your phone or laptop with a simple touch of your finger
The Moto X4 will be available in Europe starting on September at €399, Global markets, including the US will get it later this fall. The device will be offered in a rich color palette including Super Black and Sterling Blue.

It will be powered by the Snapdragon 630 chipset, Adreno 508 GPU along with 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage. The device will sport a 3000mAh battery.
The Moto X4 will be the first Motorola smartphone after 2016, to feature IP68 level of certification. On the Camera side, it will feature a 16-megapixel front shooter which is designed for ultra low-light selfies and will come with an Adaptive Low Light mode. It will be capable of shooting 4k video at 30 frames per second or Full HD video at 60 frames per second.
The 12MP rear shooter will feature dual pixel autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and 1.4µm pixel size, while the other 8MP ultra-wide sensor will feature f/2.2 aperture, 1.12µm pixel size and 120° field of view. It will be having dual-LED flash, Phase Detection Autofocus and the ability to add depth of field effects.
Whether we'll hear more about the Moto X4 on a substantive level before it launches remains to be seen, but at least now you've got a good visual sense of what Motorola will be announcing today.

With every new Android OS release, Google posts factory Images and OTA files for the Nexus and Pixel line of devices. The Android Oreo update with security patch of August 2017 are now live for a number of devices.
Google has posted both the OTA’s and the factory images for the selected Nexus or Pixel devices. The supported devices includes Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, Pixel C, Pixel and Pixel XL.

Samsung has finally started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for its Galaxy J7 (2016). For now, the update is only rolling out in Russia, but it's likely coming soon to other regions.
The Android 7.0 Nougat for the Galaxy J7 (2016) brings a newer user interface similar to the one found in the Galaxy S8, a slightly different version of Multi Window mode, enhanced notifications, Samsung Pass, and improved UI functionality. If you haven't received the update yet, Just go into the settings, Software update, and then hit the Download updates manually button.
