In a blog post, Google celebrated the 10 years of the first Android device and talked about Android Oreo (Go Edition) and Android One Smartphones. Google said that Android now powers more than 2 billion active devices from 1,300 brands across 24,000 unique products.

Google also revealed that we're going to see new Android One and Android Oreo (Go) powered Smartphones from popular brands at MWC which is happening 26 Feb 2018 – 1 Mar 2018.

As per earlier leaks, Nokia is expected to announce the Nokia 7 Plus with Android One and Nokia 1 with Android Go. Indian Telecom giant Reliance Jio is also expected to reveal a new Android Go powered Smartphone in partnership with Mediatek.

Land Rover at MWC 2018 announced the toughest Smartphone in the world for Adventurers. 

The device has megnatic back just like the Moto Z where you can attach different accessories. One such accessory includes  'Adventure Pack' that sticks magnetically to the rear of the handset to extend battery life with an additional 3.600mAh, as well as improving the Explore's GPS and mapping capabilities.

Motorola is planning to release the latest Android Oreo update to its Moto Z Play Smartphone. Android 8.0 Oreo update Release Notes for the Moto Z Play are now live.

Android Oreo comes with numerous enhancements over Android Nougat, such as faster booting, new Settings and Quick-Settings UI, Picture in Picture (PIP), Adaptive icons, Autofill, Notification timeout, Motorola might also add several new features to the latest software update. Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Moto Z Play would also feature the latest February 1st 2018 Security Patch, Stability improvements, and brand new Camera Application.

Alright, Here's the Moto G6 Plus in Silver, Gold, White, Blue and Cyan Color Options.

We're just a few days away from the launch of Moto G6 smartphones and the leaks continue to pour in. After pretty much revealing the design from earlier leaked renders, we now have more from Android Headlines. The new renders confirms the design and color options of the Moto G6 Plus.

In terms of specifications, the Moto G6 will feature a Snapdragon 450 CPU, while the Moto G6 Plus will be powered with Snapdragon 630 SoC. The G6 and G6 Plus features a 5.7" and 5.93" FHD+ Display, while the G6 Play gets a HD Display with an Unknown Screen Size. The Moto G6's battery weighs in at 3000mAh which is a bit disappointing, but you get 3250mAh with the G6 Plus, and 4000mAh with the G6 Play.

Moto G6 will be available in black, a silver tone, and a rose gold color options, while the Moto G6 Plus wll ship in Silver, Gold, White, Blue and Cyan. The G6 Play will get dark charcoal, gold, and deep blue colors. The Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 will be available in $330 and $240 later this year.

Motorola and Lenovo are all set to reveal the Moto G6 family at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona, Spain.

Google's Android Enterprise Program Recommends Best Smartphone for Businesses

Google today announced the Android Enterprise Recommended program, a Google-led global initiative that raises the bar of excellence for enterprise devices and services.

Devices in the program meet an elevated set of specifications for hardware, deployment, security updates, and user experience to help organizations handle the most challenging and diverse business environments. In addition, OEMs in the program receive an enhanced level of technical support and training from Google.

Google has also listed system requirement for an Android Enterprise Recommended Smartphone:
  • Minimum hardware specifications for Android 7.0+ devices
  • Support for bulk deployment of Android devices including zero-touch enrollment
  • Delivery of Android security updates within 90 days of release from Google, for a minimum of three years
  • Availability of unlocked devices, direct from manufacturer or reseller
  • Consistent application experience in managed profiles and on managed devices

The first phones in the Enterprise Recommended program include devices from Motorola, Nokia, LG, and others. Here's the full list:
  • BlackBerry KEYone and Motion
  • Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, and Pixel 2 XL
  • Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, P10, P10 Plus, P10 Lite, and P smart

Google says that they'll add more models in the coming weeks.
