Google has finally released Android Nougat developer preview firmware images, Android N (Nougat) is the most enhanced and advance Android version after Android Marshmallow.

Motorola devices always get first Android Updates after Nexus and Android One Smartphones. Motorola Moto Phones will obviously get Android Nougat, but the question is which Motorola Smartphones will get it?

Android Nougat comes with many new features which includes- Split scree (Multi-Window), Quick reply from notifications, New Notification Bar and Quick Toggles, Night Mode and many more.

Well, These are the Moto devices which will get Android N according to their specifications and release dates.

This time Motorola might not update Moto G 2nd Generation (3G) and Moto X 2nd Generation! 

Note :- This is not official statement from Motorola, But these are the devices that are likely to get Android N Nougat.

Google has already revealed the Next Android Name and version i.e Android 7.0 Nougat.Though for now only name is revealed ,  Android Nougat will be Officially announced with Next Nexus Devices later this summer. 



Few Nexus Devices and Some other Smartphones will get Official Android 7.0 Nougat, but what about others? Well Cyanogenmod is always there for us!

In This Post, We will be tracking all News, Updates, Release dates and screenshots of Cyanogenmod 14. 

Features of Cyanogenmod 14 (Android 7.0 Nougat)-

As usual Cyanogenmod 14 will carry Additional features Like- 

• Themes support, 
• Layers, 
• Multi-Window, 
• One-handed mode (Yeah we got some info about that, One handed mode can be included in upcoming cm 14),

Google is finally about to release Android 7.0 Nougat Next Month, Android N ( Nougat ) is the most enhanced and advance Android version after Android Marshmallow.

Android Nougat comes with many new features which includes - Split scree ( Multi-Window ) , Quick reply from notifications , New Notification Bar and Quick Toggles , Night Mode and many more.



Latest OnePlus Devices runs OxygenOS ( OxygenOS is a customised version of Android operating system developed by OnePlus ), which almost provides stock Android experience.

OnePlus products will get Android Nougat soon, but the question is which OnePlus Smartphones will get it?

So Here are the list of OnePlus Devices that might get Android 7.0 Nougat Update-

• OnePlus 2

• OnePlus 3

Don't scroll down, because these are the only devices that will be receiving Official Android 7.0 Nougat update from OnePlus.

Android 7.0 Nougat will be released next month

Recently Google rolled out Android 7.0 Developer preview 5 for Supported Nexus Devices. Well According to @evleaks ( twitter ) Google will be releasing the stable Android Nougat 7.0 next month. The firmware will be available for Supported Nexus devices just after release.

Google has already ditched Nexus 5 for Android 7.0 Nougat and evleaks ( twitter ) confirmed it again.

Android 7.0 releases next month, with the 8/5 security patch. Sorry Nexus 5 owners, no Nougat for you 😢

There's no news regarding "Release dates of 2016 Nexus Devices", Well According to rumors, Google will reveal the next Nexus Devices ( Marlin and Sailfish ) with Android Nougat.

Android 7.0 Nougat now shows the source of Installed APK

Earlier Yesterday, Google just released Android N Developer preview 5 with some new changes over previous preview .



Android N Preview 5 now shows the source from where the Android App has been Installed i.e from Play Store or from another source . 




Here are the two different Screenshots captured by Younes Layachi ( Google+ ) which shows the info of Two different applications , Installed from different sources -

 


Just Look at the bottom "Boutique" which means "Shop". In the first Screenshot the Chrome Dev application has been Installed from Play store, While The Other screenshot says Maps has been Installed from other source .

Android N Nougat for Moto G Turbo edition : News , Release date and more

Motorola Moto G Turbo edition was launched back in December 2015 . The G Turbo was an upgrade over the Moto G 3rd Generation .

Moto G turbo edition came with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and was updated to Android Marshmallow this year . 

In This Article , We will be talking about Android N ( Nougat ) for Moto G Turbo edition ( AKA Moto G3 Trubo ) .

Official Android N 7.0 Nougat for Moto G Turbo edition  -

Yes , The Motorola Moto G Turbo edition will be getting Official Android N By Motorola . 

Accordingly Google will release Android Nougat in August or September and Motorola will get hands on to Nougat's source code from Google in August or September.

Here are the Top 5 Android Nougat features

Google has finally announced The name of Next Android version after asking all of the world "What N should be" . So , Android N 7.0 is for Nougat .



Google will reveal the Final Android Nougat along with New Nexus Devices later this summer . Android Nougat will be coming with some awesome features and Here the top features you need to look out for in Android 7.0 Nougat .

1. Night Mode 

This new Android Nougat feature will allow user to switch to a darker color scheme ( Not black , but dark grey ) . If you don't like White color scheme , then just switch to Night mode for a darker scheme .

There will be an option to automatically switch to Night Mode after the sun set .

2. The Notification Shade

The Notification bar and the Notification toggles are completely changed and the new redesign looks spectacular . 

Android Nougat will give you ability to reply a message within Notification shade .

Additionally, users can also long press a notification and choose whether they would like to block or display them.

3. Doze Mode -

Google is making changes to Doze mode in Android Nougat . 

In Marshmallow, Doze activates its battery-saving features when the phone was stationary , while In Nougatit will get activated even when the screen is turned off  .
Hence, it will save upon more battery.

4. New Settings  -

The new Android Nougat will come with a new Settings Application that gives us more information , One will be able to see how much data is consumed , WiFi Status etc without selecting that option . 

The Another change in settings is that , One will be able to swap from One to another Setting menu easily .

5. Multi-Window -

This feature will enable users to use applications in split screen mode and picture-in-picture mode as well . 

The feature already comes with Samsung's Note series and some of the Smartphones . But Now Android is finally introducing this new feature with Android Nougat .

We have good news for you all. The answer is YES, your phone will get the Android Nougat update by the end of the year, IF you have the moto X Play version, not the Droid version. The phone was launched in 2015 and Google's policy of software updates cover 18 months past its release, and moto X Force is covered here. Don't expect it to get Android O, though, as N will be its final update.

Droid MAXX 2

Bad news for you guys! You WILL get the update, but it will most likely come in mid 2017, considering it got Marshmallow some weeks ago, very late into the game. That's Verizon's speed with updates. But you will get it afterall.

ROMs

There's some good news if you love custom roms: although developer support is limited, you will see custom ROMs released by the end of the year for moto X Play, since its developer support is quite large, although not much for Droid Maxx 2 since it's got a locked bootloader and limited developer support, so if you have the X Play you will be able to play with all the new features that come with Nougat and some developer features. Custom ROMs won't support the Moto apps, though.

We will keep this post updated through the rest of the year to update you with all the news about the update. Moto X Play will likely see most of the popular roms like CyanogenMod 14 and others available as soon as they are released. Droid Maxx 2 won't see much until early-mid 2017.

Motorola released the Moto X 2nd gen back in 2014. Dubbed as phone of the year, the smartphone was loved by most of the people. The phone came with KitKat, got Lollipop and then was one of the first to get Marshmallow. Will it get Android Nougat now?

I'm sorry to disappoint all of you, but the answer is no, you are not getting Android Nougat. The phone was launched in 2014 and Google's policy of software updates cover just 18 months past its release. But the phone did have one hell of a run, seeing three Android versions pass through it.

There's some good news though, the phone has a great developer community and custom ROMs supporting it will be released by the end of the year, so you will be able to play with all the new features that come with Nougat.

And now a developer ( Deepak Kaku ) has already made that Android N Navigation bar possible on devices running Cyanogenmod 12 or 13 based on Android Lollipop and Marshmallow .

This application is actually a theme which changes the icons of Your Smartphone's old Navigation Bar and replace it with new leaked Android N Navigation icons .

After releasing the final Android N developer preview  , Google is finally all set to reveal the Official Android N and New Nexus Devices HTC S1 and M1 . 

According to Android Police , Google seems to be redesigning Android's home and navigation buttons . This is how New Android N buttons are tipped to look like -

According to AP , the new multi-colored home button does animate in some fashion when long-pressed .

OnePlus 3 is currently the spotlight on the web , We have already seen How OnePlus 3 will look like ( Yeah somewhat Samsung + htc combo ) .



The Company is going to reveal its next flagship soon . As previously leaked The Smartphone is having a full metal unibody construct . OnePlus 3 is tipped to come with AMOLED display and 3000mAh battery .



Today , evleaks has leaked that The OnePlus 3 will be having 5.5-inch 1080p, Snapdragon 820, 64GB storage, 16MP rear camera, NFC. And the Surprise is the OnePlus 3 is already running Android N preview build Oxygen 3.1.0 .

The Smartphone has model number - A3000 . Though Ofcourse the Smartphone will come with Android Marshmallow , But users will be able to test Android N developer preview on the Smartphone .

Android N will not feature 3D Touch

Android fans will have to wait longer for 3D Touch feature . 



According to Reports Google is said to have delayed its support for Apple's 3D Touch feature which was widely expected to come in the upcoming Android N version .

According to a report by Recode -

3D Touch feature will not be part of the initial Android N release and will have to wait for a later release of the operating system, most likely as part of a maintenance update to the software.

Google might launch 3D Touch feature in a new update lately in this year . 



Android N will get revealed on 18th of May and Google might show of new Nexus or Something else !

HTC Nexus Devices "Marlin" and "Sailfish" in works !

Evan Blass ( @evleaks ) has leaked out that HTC will be making next Nexus Smartphones with model number "S1" and "M1" , both the devices will run Android N . 

According to Android Police , the Devices will be having codename "Marlin" and "Sailfish" . 

HTC is building a pair of Android N devices for Google internally dubbed M1 and S1 #nexus
