The Android One Moto X4 was announced near the end of September, with the promise the device would ship sometime in Mid October.

Now the users who ordered the Moto X4 are now facing shipping delays. Users that ordered from Project Fi got an email from Google saying there was a production delay and now devices will be shipping between 10/18 between 10/25.

Thanks for ordering a new Android One Moto X4 from Project Fi. A production delay has impacted the estimated ship date for your new device, and your device should now ship between 10/18 and 10/25. You'll receive a separate shipping confirmation as soon as your order ships.

If you have already planned to trade in another device with your order, you'll still have a full 30 days to send in your old phone after you receive your Android One Moto X4.

The Moto X4 has a 5.2-inch full HD display, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, with 4GB of RAM, 32/64GB of storage and a 3000mAh battery inside powering the device. It does also have dual 12+8 megapixel cameras on the back of the device, and it is made of glass with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The Android One Moto X4 is priced at $399 (INR 25,600). You can order one from Project Fi website.

Budget Android One phones reportedly coming to the U.S.

Back in 2014, Google launched Android One platform in India with an idea of selling $100 entry-level phones with Pure Android and the promise of quick updates.



With the Nexus brand apparently gone, and the Pixel positioned at the high-end of the market, Google is rumored to bring its budget-segment Android One phones to the U.S. to fill the void in the budget category.

Tying up with LG, Google is planning to launch Android One Smartphone in the U.S. before the middle of the year. The phones will be priced in a range between $200 and $300.

There's the possibility that Google could integrate Google Assistant, Allo and Duo apps to the upcoming Android One phones.

Android One isn't dead, General Mobile has announced a new Android One smartphone "the GM 5" which comes out with Android 7.0 Nougat.



Specs wise, the GM 5 is an entry-level smartphone which features a 5" HD display protected by Gorilla Glass 4. The Smartphone is powered by an unknown Snapdragon Chipset clocked 1.2GHz paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be expanded upto 64GB.

The Device has a 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing camera. The GM 5 packs a 2,500mAh battery and comes in three different colors i.e. Golden, Space Gray and Black.

Nexus and Android One Devices Gets Spam Calling Protection Phone App

Google has started rolling out a new Update to the Phone App that comes pre-installed to Nexus and Android One Devices.



The New version of Phone App will alert the user that if the call is coming from a potential spam caller or not. Additionally, You will be able to report a Spam call and even block them.




All You have to do is Turn on caller ID & spam protection. To Turn it on, Just Open the Phone app, Tap the 3 dot menu, Tap Caller ID and Spam Protection and At Last Turn it on!
