Pixel 2 details leaked with APK teardown

Pixel 2 details confirmed with APK teardown
Google is widely expected to unveil the much-anticipated Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 on October 4th during an event. The Pixel 2(s) specs and design is no longer a mystery, as the device have been already leaked multiple times.

Just like the HTC U11 Edge Sense (Squeeze), the Pixel 2 will be having an Active Edge which will likely make use of the squeezable sides. According to a teardown of the Google app 7.12 APK by 9To5Google, Pixel 2 users will be able to access Google app as well as activate Google Assistant using Active Edge.

I addition to the Active Edge, Google plans to update the Google Assistant with Routines that will enable multi-action initiation, but without having to actually issue a command for each action. This feature also allows various smart products around the home to interact using Google Assistant.

Lastly, You'll be able to change the voice for Google Assistant. Currently Google Assistant is only usable with one voice and can’t be altered but that seems to be changing in the near future. Thoughts?

iPhone X's A11 Bionic Chip blows the Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8, and OnePlus 5 out of the water

iPhone X's A11 Bionic Chip blows the Galaxy Note 8, S8, and OnePlus 5 out of the water
Last week Apple announced the Almost Bezel-less iPhone X along with the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The iPhone X comes with a 5.8-inch all-screen OLED Super Retina HD display, and Face Unlock Security feature.

This time Apple used its own A11 Bionic chipset in the iPhone X and duo iPhone 8(s). The SoC has six CPU cores, with the ability to run all of them simultaneously.

Now, the iPhone X went through GeekBench 4, and both the the single-core and multi-core scores prove that the chipset is indeed very powerful. With A11 Bionic chipset, the iPhone X beats all the 2017 flagship Smartphones in the market including the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Samsung Galaxy S8,  Samsung Galaxy S8+ and the OnePlus 5.

The multi-core scores for the iPhone X is at 10,069 while the single-core score for the iPhone X is at 4,188. Apple claims that the A11 Bionic chip features a 64-bit architecture with Neural Engine and Embedded M11 motion coprocessor. It's a six-core CPU design with two performance cores that are 25 percent faster than the company's A10 Fusion

Motorola confirms it will update the Moto G4 Plus to Android Oreo

Motorola confirms it will update the Moto G4 Plus to Android Oreo
Just a little few days back, Motorola announced the list of Moto devices getting Android 8.0 Oreo update. In a move that disappoints Moto G4 Plus users, Motorola eliminated the 2016 Moto G series from that list.

Additionally, Motorola removed all mentions of Android Oreo from the Moto G4 Plus product page. The page had previously said the device would get Android “versions N and O,” but the O part was removed.

Motorola responded today with the following to their Oreo updates blog post:
Since the time of posting this, we have learned of some errors in our marketing materials around Android O upgrades for moto g4 Plus. It’s our general practice for the moto g family to get one major OS upgrade per device, so it wasn’t originally planned for Android O. But it’s important to us we keep our promises, so in addition to the N upgrade it has already received, we will be upgrading moto g4 Plus to Android O. Because this is an unplanned upgrade, it will take some time to fit into our schedule, we’ll update our software upgrade page when we have more info.
In other words, Motorola will now update the Moto G4 Plus (Not the Moto G4 or Moto G4 Play) to Android 8.0 Oreo. However, it might take too long for the update to reach the Moto G4 Plus devices. Thoughts?

Nintendo Switch Moto Mod Concept Looks Good Enough To Be The Real Deal
There is no fact denying that Motorola is betting big on the future of Moto Mods and the recently concluded hackathon event is a proof for that. As of now, there are various Moto Mods to play music, capture images, project a picture, etc.

But now, Ryvaeus (Reddit Username), one of the Moto Z user is on a mission to do something unique. Yes, he is designing a Gaming mod with Joy-Con Controllers. For those who don't know Joy-Con are the primary controller of the Nintendo Switch console. They can be attached or detached and used wirelessly.

This Moto Mod follows same concept that the GamePad Mod offers. It adds physical gaming controls to your phone.

The developer has already built a prototype of the mod which adds the Joy-Con to the device. Want to see that Project into reality? Share your Thoughts below!
