On Thursday, Motorola took over twitter to accuse Samsung of copying its Always On Moto Display feature on the new Note 7. That shady tweet went kind of viral, and although Samsung is yet to reply, Nokia fans took it personal, pointing out it was Nokia who did it first on their MeeGo and Lumia smartphones.
Many tweets making fun of Motorola for forgetting that emerged. However, it was Motorola the one who did it first. Take a look:
That's the V8 from 2007, and it featured an Always On Display. In fact, the RAZR V3 came with that same always on external display, and that was in 2004!
Now let's go back to the 90s... Motorola phones had this feature too:
