Xiaomi Mi 3 and Mi 4 gets Android 8.0 Oreo ROM

Xiaomi Mi 3 and Mi 4 gets Android 8.0 Oreo ROM

Android 8.0 Oreo (AOSP) Custom Rom is now available for the Xiaomi Mi 3 and Mi 4 (Cancro).

We all know that most of the devices won't be getting Android 8.0 Oreo Officially. However, with the Android Oreo AOSP code base, developers will be able to develop custom ROMs for the Android devices based on Google's latest OS.

Well, if you are a Xiaomi Mi 3 or Mi 4 owner, then this recent development might be of interest to you. XDA developer "vasishath" has successfully ported Android 8.0 Oreo (AOSP) on the Mi 3/Mi 4. Additionally, most major aspects of the phone are working as expected (such as the camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, sensors, etc.).

You'll need to Root and Install TWRP Custom Recovery in-order to Install the AOSP Android 8.0 Oreo Rom on Xiaomi Mi 3 or Mi 4 Cancro. You can grab the Custom Rom ZIP file from XDA Thread.
