Like other Motorola Smartphones you can Unlock Moto G 2nd Gen ( 2014 ) Bootloader also . Unlocking Bootloader voids warrenty , but still people Unlock Bootloader for Development Purposes .

Note -

Keep a backup of your data before following the steps , as Unlocking will wipe all your data .

By following this below guide , you can easily unlock your bootloader of Moto G 2nd Generation .

How to Unlock Bootloader of Moto G 2nd Gen ( 2014 ) -

Step 1. Download Minimal ADB and fastboot from below .

Step 2. Download and Install Latest Motorola Drivers from below .

Step 3. Go to Moto G 2nd Gen ( 2014 ) Settings > Developer Settings and Select Allow OEM Unlock .

Step 4. Switch off your Motorola Moto 2nd Gen ( 2014 ) and Boot to Fastboot mode by pressing Power + Volume down button at the same time .

Step 5. Now Open Minimal ADB and fastboot ( which you downloaded in step 2 ) on PC and open cmd from there .

Step 6. Connect your Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen ( 2014 ) to PC via USB cable .

Step 7. Type This on Cmd   fastboot oem get_unlock_data  .

You will get a String , just copy it and Paste it in a Notepad and remove empty spaces from it .

Step 8. Go to Motorola's website and Log in using your Google / Motorola Id and paste the Copied String on 6th Step .

Step 9. Now complete all the Steps at Motorola's Website and Request unlock key . 

Step 10. You will get an Unlock key at your mail id , just copy it .

Step 11. In Cmd ( which you opened following step 5 ) type -

fastboot devices 

It will check , your device is connected or not , after that type -

fastboot oem unlock Key 

Replace Key with the Unlock Key , you got on Step 10 .

Many of the users must have upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop officially or Many of them have flashed other countries version on Their Moto G 2014 . Also some of them have flashed cm12 ( Android 5.0.2 ) including me . 

So this Guide will cover how you can downgrade from Android 5.0 Lollipop to Android 4.4.4 Kitkat , Without Bricking your device .



How to Downgrade Your Moto G 2nd Generation ( 2014 ) from Android 5.0 Lollipop to Android 4.4.4 Kitkat -

Step 1. Download Latest XT1068 Android 4.4.4 Kitkat official Firmware from below .

Step 2. Download The tools which we will be using to downgrade from lollipop to kitkat , from below .

Step 3. After Downloading , Extract both the firmware package and The tools in the same folder ( Yes in the same folder ) .


Step 4. Reboot your Phone To bootloader mode and connect your Phone to PC via USB cable .

Step 5. Open Command Prompt on the same folder ( By - right click on mouse + shift button and open command window ) .

Step 6. Copy , Paste and run the following commands in The Command window .

Xiaomi India ban partially lifted by Delhi High Court till 8 Jan

As last week only Xiaomi Chinese Smartphone Company was banned from Selling Smartphones In India . The ban has been lifted by Dehli High Court till 8 January , 2015 till further notice .

 Press trust of India tweeted that -

Delhi HC permits Xiaomi to sell and import Qualcomm chipset based handsets till January 8.

Although Xiomi has major plans for India but due to ban from Delhi High court Xiaomi cannot fulfill their plans . Xiaomi was all set to sale 1 lakhs units of Redmi Note till new year in India , But because of ban may be these units may not be sold in this amount .

Also Xiaomi was going to launch its new flagship Xiaomi Mi4 in India , but now the launch has been delayed till further notice .

Step 3 - Now Power off your Samsung Galaxy Core 2 and go to  Recovery mode by pressing VOLUME UP + POWER + HOME button at the same time .

Step 4 - Now you will see Some Options ( Use Volume keys to move up and down and Power button to choose )



Step 5 - There Choose apply update from external storage and select the zip you downloaded in Step 1 .

Motorola plans to launch affordable 4G smartphones in India

Motorola the giant Smartphone company is now all set to launch its new Smartphones in India . In an Interview with Economic Times Mr. Rick Osterloh, president and chief operation officer stated that they are very excited to launch 4G smartphones in India , They said -

The transition to 4G will be quick. Next year, we are going to be very aggressive in the 4G value proposition for end users. India is absolutely essential (for global turnaround). India and Brazil are countries that we think first when we think about our business because that's the future. The market here is growing incredibly quickly.

Motorola is now in the top largest smartphone seller company in India , also Moto Smartphones are the only Smartphones that are sold in India in large numbers . 

Accordingly Moto G 3rd Generation and Moto E 2nd Generation will come with 4G technology , next year .
