Android 5.1 Update started rolling for Moto X (1st Gen)

Motorola has finally begun rolling Android 5.1 Lollipop updated for Motorola Moto X 1st generation .  Android 5.1 comes with many bug fixes and many new changes .



Moto X users can get OTA update at any time . For now only Brazil users can update their Moto X to Android 5.1 but soon it will be available for many regions .

Some of the changes which is coming with Motorola Moto X android 5.1 update are listed below -

• Material Design
• Improved lockscreen and homescreen notifications with support for priority notifications
• New Overview mode for multitasking with card view
• New Moto Assist features, including Moto smart screen, Moto Voice, and Moto Shares
• Moto Screen feature that shows notifications on lockscreen without waking entire display and uses the low-power processor
• Smart Lock (Trusted Devices) that keeps the phone unlocked when paired with a smartwatch or in a particular area.

Indian Retailer Flipkart has finally listed Asus Zenfone 5 which will be coming on April 23 . The flash sale will go on Flipkart at 2pm .

Asus Zenfone 2 will feature amazing specification which will be competing Samsung Galaxy S6 , Xperia Z4 and more devices .

Asus Zenfone 2 will feature a 5.5 Inch , 1080p IPS display , 4 Gb RAM and 13mp camera . It will come with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out of the box .

Cyanogenmod has finally started building Official Android 5.1 based Cm12.1 for several devices . Recently only Cyanogenmod has taken votes for devices which will get Cm12.1 and Moto G 2nd Generation got the highest votes .

Cyanogenmod 12.1 is based on Android 5.1 lollipop , which comes with many bug fixes and many new changes .

Step 3. In TWRP / CWM mode , Clear data , Clear cache and Clear dalvik Cache .

Step 4. Select Install zip from Sdcard and Select the Cm12.1 ( Android 5.1 lollipop ) , you downloaded on Step 1 .

Step 5. Now reboot your device .

Root and Install TWRP recovery on Moto E 2nd Generation [3G]

Motorola launched Moto E 2nd generation which is an upgrade version of Motorola Moto E . In comparison to Moto E 1st Generation , Moto E 2nd Generation comes with a front facing camera , quad core processor and Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box .

Custom recovery is necessary for Installing Custom roms and other mods . Also you will be Rooting Moto E 2nd Gen 3g with Recovery only !

So , Go ahead to the guide - 

How to Install TWRP recovery on Moto E 2nd Generation -

Step 1. Download TWRP recovery from below .

Step 2. Go into bootloader mode (power off and hold power+vol down and release)

Step 3.Connect the phone to your PC

Step 4.Install Adb and Fastboot into your PC 

Step 5.From CMD or Terminal go into your the download folder and execute:

fastboot flash recovery twrp.img

Step 6. After that execute - 

fastboot flash recovery twrp.img

( rename the recovery image name to twrp.img)
