Moto Z Play Android Oreo Release Imminent

Motorola is planning to release the latest Android Oreo update to its Moto Z Play Smartphone. Android 8.0 Oreo update Release Notes for the Moto Z Play are now live.

Android Oreo comes with numerous enhancements over Android Nougat, such as faster booting, new Settings and Quick-Settings UI, Picture in Picture (PIP), Adaptive icons, Autofill, Notification timeout, Motorola might also add several new features to the latest software update. Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Moto Z Play would also feature the latest December 1st 2017 Security Patch, Stability improvements, and brand new Camera Application.

INTRODUCTION

We are excited to announce a new software update for moto z play by Motorola. This update brings Android™ 8.0 Oreo to your phone along with other improvements.

NOTE: You cannot downgrade to a previous software version after installing this update.

ENHANCEMENTS

This update introduces changes including the following:

• Android™ 8.0 Oreo: many enhancements including new multitasking features, more efficient notification controls and improved data saver and battery features.
• Android security: includes the updates of Android security patches until 1 December 2017.
• Stability improvements: includes changes that fix bugs and improve the stability of your phone.
• Camera: improvements on camera app including bug fixes.

Update Moto X Play to Android 8.0 Oreo with XenonHD [How to install]

An unofficial build of XenonHD ROM based on Android 8.0 Oreo is now available for Motorola's Moto X Play. Although this custom ROM is made available to the public, it is still under testing by its developers.

With Android 8.0 Oreo, you'll get new Redesigned Settings and Quick Settings, Advance App shortcut, PIP (Picture In Picture), Notification Dots, New Emojis and other enhancements.

You'll need to Unlock Bootloader and Install TWRP Custom Recovery in-order to Install the XenonHD ROM based on Android 8.0 Oreo on Moto X Play (LUX). You can grab the Custom Rom ZIP file from below.

Note: This procedure is very technical and should be performed by a person with sound knowledge of rooting Android devices. If the step-by-step installation process is not followed properly, there are chances of the smartphone getting bricked or being permanently irreparable. Known bugs of this Custom ROM includes Broken VoLTE, Camera, NFC, and Randon Reboots.

How to Install Android 8.0 Oreo XenonHD ROM on Moto X Play:

Step 1: Download XenonHD Android 8.0 Oreo custom ROM on to your Smartphone.

Step 2: Boot to TWRP Mode.

Step 3: Once entering the TWRP settings menu, clear phone's memory (full) by selecting 'Wipe' option. Once done, select 'Swipe to Factory Reset' perform factory reset.

Step 4: Return to TWRP settings and tap 'Install' by the selecting .Zip file in the phone's memory.

Step 5: Come back to TWRP menu setting to approve the installation by tapping 'Swipe to Confirm Flash'

Step 6: Flashing of the custom ROM begins and after few minutes, a message 'Successful' appears on the screen, thus completing installation.

Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro Receiving Android Nougat Update

The last time we updated you on the status of the Galaxy C7 Pro's Android 7.0 Nougat update, we told you that it was in the works and the release is imminent. Well, it looks like Samsung is finally pushing it out to you all.

Samsung is finally rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat Software Update to its Galaxy C7 Pro Smartphone. The Software weighs in at around 1526MB.

If you own a Galaxy C7 Pro in India you should have received the over-the-air update notification for Android Nougat update. The Software brings along New UX, Fixes General Issues, New Multi-Window, and adds Dual Messenger. We will let you know once the update comes to other Samsung Smartphones. Moto X5 Concept Shows Off What the Future Holds

In 2017, Motorola resurrected the Moto X series with the Moto X4. The Smartphone received praise from critics and consumers alike for its build quality, software, and camera performance.

This year's Moto X5 will be one of the most anticipated phone of 2018, which is rumored to release in October. A new concept of the Moto X5 has posted online by TargetYoutube and it looks absolutely stunning.

As you can see in the below and above renders, the Moto X5 will have almost zero sized bezels on either sides. Also, the phone in the images has edged display compared to 2.5D on current Moto X4. Coming to the rear, it is having the triple lens camera setup, fingerprint sensor and the Motorola's "M" branding.

The concept creator imagines that the Moto X5 would feature a 5.5-Inches LTPS IPS LCD Display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 CPU, Adreno 630 GPU, 4/6/8GB of RAM, 64/128/256GB of internal memory,and  a 19MP main triple lens camera.
