Galaxy S9 Leak Reveals Samsung's Design Secret

In 2017 we saw some incredible decisions taken by some of the reputed companies over the globe. One such decision that stands out from every other is that Samsung releasing gorgeous Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus with infinity display. And, they succeeded in doing that. 

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus is widely regarded as the best looking smartphone of 2017 and one of the best camera smartphone. However, both the Galaxy S8 were criticized for their poor fingerprint sensor placement and rear design language.

According to various leaks from reputed tipsters, Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus will feature almost no bottom bezel and reduced top bezel without using a notch. Benjamin Geskin on his twitter handle posted concept images of the Samsung Galaxy S9 which looks gorgeous and are very close to reality.
Rumors says that the Samsung Galaxy S9 will feature a single camera while the Galaxy S9 Plus will come with dual camera setup. Samsung may ditch the headphone jack with both the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus.

Motorola is done with 2017 product line and it's time to talk about the upcoming 2018 devices from Lenovo and Motorola. It seems that Motorola's upcoming Moto Smartphone will be simply called the "Moto X5".

If you recall, Motorola released four generations of the Moto X- the Moto X, Moto X2, Third Generation Moto X(s) Moto X Style and Moto X Play/Pure, and the new Moto X4. And, it's no wonder that Motorola is looking to resume the product portfolio by naming it as Moto X5.


There's no information regarding the specifications and design of the Moto X5. However, just like the Moto X4, the Moto X5 may come with IP68 certification, dual-rear cameras, and glass body. Motorola is also expected to implement near-bezel-less display on the Moto X5.

Motorola's Moto X5 is expected sometime later in 2018. Thoughts?

The OnePlus 5T is already official with near bezel-less display and top-notch specs. Until now, you could grab the device only in Midnight Black color, but it seems that OnePlus is giving some fans a new option.

During the OnePlus 5T launch event in China, OnePlus announced the limited edition Lava Red variant of the OnePlus 5T. This new variant is exclusive to China as of now. Android 8.1 Oreo Developer Preview 2 is now available for the eligible Nexus and Pixel devices. It it is the Last Android 8.1 Beta and arrives in as build OPP6.171019.012. The new version is readily available for the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel C, Nexus 5X, and Nexus 6P.

The system images are available to download for the above mentioned devices, but that requires an unlocked bootloader. There's also an other option, you can enroll your device in automatic OTA system updates through the Android Beta Program. Once enrolled, your device will receive regular over-the-air (OTA) updates of all milestone builds in the Android 8.1 Developer Preview. When the next version of Android is released, your device will automatically update to the final version. 


You can also un-enroll your device at any time. The device will receive an OTA update to the most recent production version of Android available for that device (for example, Android 8.0 Oreo). The update requires a full device reset, so user data on the device will be removed.

If you are already running Android 8.1 Developer preview 1, you can easily update to DP2 via an OTA Update which weighs in at around 169MB.

Google is calling this near-final system images and says that it should be used for final testing. We may get stable Android 8.1 Oreo by the end of December.

Now that Google has released the next version of Android, Android 8.0 Oreo, the wait for the devices to get the update first has already started. Motorola has already updated it's software support page with the list of its devices that will officially get the update.

It seems that Motorola is already internally testing Android 8.0 Oreo for the Moto Z Play, Moto Z, Moto Z2 Force and Moto Z2 Play. The confirmation came from a screenshot of Moto Z Play running Android 8.0.0 Oreo with December 2017 Security patch.

Just a few days back we reported that Motorola Brazil is sending out Android Oreo Soak Test invitations to the Moto Z and Moto Z2 Force users enrolled for Motorola Feedback Network.

Apart from the Android 8.0 Oreo Goodies including new Settings and Notification panel UI, Picture in Picture (PIP), Adaptive icons, Autofill, Notification timeout, Motorola might also add several new features to the latest software update.

The Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Moto Smartphones may bring new Moto Key application that let's you securely save passwords, Moto Alexa, and new Moto Live Stream.
