Recent Leaks Suggest the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Will be Built around Dual Rear Cameras

Recent Leaks Suggest the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Will be Built around Dual Rear Cameras
If you’re a fan of the Samsung tablets, you’ll love what the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 supposedly has on offer. In recent leaks, it’s reported that the Note 8 will contain dual rear cameras to give the tablet an edge over its competitors. Whether this is true or not we’re not sure, but the tablet looks like it’s going to be available in August this year, a year after the Note 7 became available. The popular Android-based tablets are sure to be a hit this year with many new features and better functionality available.

Samsung Appear Confident After Latest Tablet Releases

It is clear Samsung developers are becoming increasingly confident in their tablet developments because of how well-thought of their recent releases of the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ were. Samsung are becoming much better developers and are learning from their previous models. They seem to be the developers trying new things to better a user’s experience. It’s unknown if the dual rear cameras are a reality, but given how far Samsung have come on with their handsets and tablets in recent years, it wouldn’t be surprising.

Samsung Will Forget About Their Note 7 Disaster

It’s no surprise that Samsung had a nightmare on their hands when they released the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 last year. It was a tablet that failed in all aspects and there were numerous reports of devices that had battery problems and even exploded. It was up to Samsung to recall thousands and make sure the next release was going to make up for it. Samsung has well and truly put this release firmly back in their minds and they will be looking for the Note 8 to give them back the reputation they deserve.

It’s Not All Good News for Samsung Fans

Fans will love to hear the leaks contain feature lists for the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8, but they will hate to hear it won’t have Android O. It appears Samsung are testing their new device on Android 7.1.1, and that means when Google release their latest version of Android O, Samsung probably aren’t going to take advantage of it. Further reports suggest the new tablet will be released before Android O, which will back up that rumor.

Will the Galaxy Note 8 Have the Same Problems as the Note 7?

Samsung will be hoping they’ve solved all battery issues from their last release of the Samsung Note 7. Many students studying for their masters in computer science online using an online masters computer science program will be hoping for the same. Developers generally don’t make the same mistakes twice and many fans will be hoping for a better version of the tablet this time around.

It’s still not 100% certain what the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will consist of, but if recent leaks are true, it will have the dual rear cameras that all tablet fanatics are craving for – and plenty of other features for tablet owners to enjoy.

Samsung's Note 8 Design LEAKS, Reveals Narrow Display Angles

Samsung's newest smartphones, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are the best smartphones ever in terms of design. While the Galaxy S9 is away for a year, the focus is shifted towards the middle smartphone Galaxy Note 8, which is also said to feature the same design language as S8 and S8+.

The phone is just few months away from now, but rumors are already flooding in, and today, Poyoco Tech has designed a new concept render of the Galaxy Note 8 indicating that the upcoming phablet will feature significantly narrower display angles to those found on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.

The leak also reveals that the Galaxy Note 8 will feature a vertically arranged dual camera setup with dual tone LED flash. The device looks a lot similar to the S8 and S8+, but the bezels are squared off to make it look more gorgeous.

Speculations are rife that the phone will feature a 6.4-inch QHD+ display, Snapdragon 835 SoC, 6GB RAM, IRIS Scanner, Dual rear camera, and 4000mAh battery. The release might happen in August 2017, going by Samsung's tradition.

Upcoming Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) and Galaxy J7 (2017) Full Details Surfaced Online

Samsung is working on the successors to its mid-range Galaxy J series. The company already announced the Galaxy J3 (2017) in the US and the Galaxy J5 (2017), Galaxy J7(2017) are yet to be announced. Rather than the plastic body seen on Galaxy J (2016) phones, this year's Galaxy J phones will come with metal body.

Reliable tipster, Roland Quandt also leaked the renders of the devices and they look similar to each other with new eyecatchy design. The Galaxy J5 (2017) and Galaxy J7 (2017) will be released in three colour options- blue, black, glod, and rose gold. And they will be separated by the screen size and battery capacity.

The Galaxy J5 (2017) will flaunt a 5.2-inch Full HD display, while the J7 will sport a 5.5-inch Full HD display. The J5 will get a smaller battery of 3000mAh and the J7 will carry a massive 3600mAh battery on board.

Both the devices will be powered by the 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 SoC and they adore 13MP cameras on both front and back. The devices will also feature fingerprint scanner this time around. Launch date of the phones is yet to be revealed by the company.

Samsung Galaxy S8's "Ultra-Secure" iris recognition system can be tricked with a photo

Samsung Galaxy S8's "Ultra-Secure" iris recognition system can be tricked with a photo
With Super-slim bezels, tall screen, infinity display and speedy new Snapdragon 835 (or Exynos 9) processor, the Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with a ton of biometric authentication options. You get a fingerprint reader, iris recognition, and face recognition that lets you unlock the phone.

According to the latest reports, it looks like that Samsung's "Ultra-Secure" iris recognition security feature can easily be fooled. Germany's Chaos Computer Club (CCC), a venerable group of white-hat hackers, claims to have figured out a relatively straightforward way to trick the iris-recognition system on Samsung's flagship Galaxy S8 smartphone.

According to CCC: The easiest way for a thief to capture iris pictures is with a digital camera in night-shot mode or the infrared filter removed. In the infrared light spectrum – usually filtered in cameras – the fine, normally hard to distinguish details of the iris of dark eyes are well recognizable. Starbug was able to demonstrate that a good digital camera with 200mm-lens at a distance of up to five meters (16.4 ft.) is sufficient to capture suitably good pictures to fool iris recognition systems.

Samsung claims that the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are the securest phones yet. The iris scanner and face recognition that unlocks your phone in an instant comes with defence-grade security.

Samsung Finally Releases a New Tizen Phone, But It's a Device from Old-Age

Smartphones have come a long way from what they are in 2011 or 2012. But Samsung just took us back to the initial stages of smartphone era by launching the Samsung Z4, the successor to Tizen OS's Samsung Z3 released back in 2015.

Samsung has been betting big on the Tizen OS to replace it with Android, but it is just a dream for the firm. The new Samsung Z4 doesn't inspire confidence in any aspect- design, specs, and pricing.

The phone comes with specifications such as a 4.5-inch WVGA display, 1.5GHz quad-core chip, 1GB of RAM, and a mere 2050mAh battery. The specs are just unbelievable on paper, considering we're in 2017. But, Samsung has its own reasons to release the smartphone.

Coming to the USP of the phone, it's the Tizen OS, which is the less secured OS, not many apps in the store, and many other drawbacks. Not at all a great thinking from the world's best smartphone brand, not at all.

Samsung Updates its Launcher in Google Play Store and it's Galaxy S8 Launcher

Samsung has released an update to the TouchWiz Home launcher, and the update takes the launcher to the one seen on Galaxy S8/S8+. The update makes it to version number 6.1.02, and it's the same version as Galaxy S8 launcher.

The Galaxy S8 launcher has various new features, and it's much faster than the previous TouchWiz launcher. The biggest change is the scrapping of app drawer icon, which can now be accessed by swiping up from the home screen.

Samsung did not release the update for all the countries, and it is currently available in the US and other European countries. You can grab it from the Play Store or sideload the APK by downloading it from apkmirror.com

Also, make a note that the launcher works only with Samsung devices and that too devices running Android 7.0 Nougat only. If you've a Samsung Marshmallow device, then wait for the Android Nougat update.
