Google Assistant is Reportedly Enabled on Some Non-Pixel Phones with Alpha Version of Google App!

In what could be called as a surprising news, some of the users of non-Pixel phones are reporting that the latest Alpha version of the Google App is bringing the popular Google Assistant to their phones, according to Android Police. 

The report also cites that several people at Android Police after installing the latest Google App Alpha version enabled the Google Assistant on their non-Pixel phones. However, on some phones, the feature did not appear. So, it must be some bug, or maybe Google failed to remove the lines of code.



Besides this, we tried installing the APK provided by Android Police on a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, but no luck for us as well. If you people want to give a shot at the new Alpha version, you can download the APK from apkmirror.com. Also, do make a note that the APK is an Alpha version and will have many bugs.

OnePlus Teases Something for this Valentine's Day!

Chinese smartphone vendor, OnePlus has something under their sleeves for this Valentine's day. The company, on their official YouTube channel, posted a video in which everyone says 'I Want You.' 

However, we're not sure on what OnePlus is actually teasing about. But surely, something big is coming from OnePlus. Also, at the end of the video, they stated as 'Get whatever you want this Valentine's day.' 

We believe that the company might offer some massive discounts on all of their products or, there can be a new Red colored variant of the OnePlus 3/3T coming in, but we're not sure up to what extent this is true. 

That said, everything is still under wraps for now. We will update you once after receiving further info regarding what OnePlus is up to.

This time, popular Apple analyst from KGI Securities, Ming-Chi suggest that all the variants of Apple iPhone 8 will have support for wireless charging, which also means that the iPhone 8 will move away from the metal bodies and we will be back to iPhones with the glass body. 

According to the analyst, the Apple iPhone 8 will be released in three variants and all of them will have support for wireless charging. Also, the iPhone 8 will use an OLED display, which further results in price hike and rumors say that it will cost more than $1000 (approx. Rs. 67,000).

2. Download and Install TWRP on your Device by following "How to Install TWRP on "Your_Device_Name" at XDA-developers".

3. Download LineageOS for your Device from the appropriate above link and save it into your Device's External Storage.



4. Boot your Moto Smartphone to fastboot mode, Select recovery.

5. Clear Data, Cache and system (if needed)

6.  Select Install ZIP from SDcard, choose the LineageOS file, you downloaded earlier.

7. Reboot your device and enjoy Lineage Custom Rom based on Latest AndroidOS on your device.

Google Assistant Can Now Control Smart Devices with a New 'Home Control' Feature

Google Assistant, the personal digital assistant exclusive to Pixel phones is now getting a new update with which the assistant can control Smart devices with the help of a new 'Home Control' feature. 

This feature was earlier announced, maybe last month along with the integrations, Belkin, Honeywell, and Wemo. Also, Google Assistant can now control the Nest, Philips Hue, and Samsung SmartThings. 




According to 9to5google, this feature is already live on their both Pixel phones with latest Google Play Services version and the latest beta of Google App. There's a new tab called as 'Home Control' present under the Settings of Google Assistant. 

But, there is no timeline on when the feature will roll out to public, but this is a much-needed addition for several people out there.

OxygenOS 4.0.3 is now rolling out for the OnePlus 3

Following the OxygenOS 4.0 and 4.0.2 based on Android 7.0 Nougat, the company is now rolling out OxygenOS 4.0.3 OTA update for the OnePlus 3.

Apart from Android 7.0 Nougat Interface and Features, Here are some highlights of OxygenOS 4.0.3 update for the OnePlus 3-

• Added Wi-Fi IPv6 Support toggle
• Optimized Smart Wi-Fi Switcher, if turned on, device will switch to data connection if Wi-Fi signal is consistently poor
• Fixed crashes for Line
• Increased stability of the Camera app
• Optimized exposure when taking night time photos
• Updated Audio Parameters and improved the quality of audio recordings
• Updated APN settings for select carriers
• Amazon Prime App will be pre-installed for India Users

After update, users might face fluctuations in WiFi connectivity, but here's how you can fix this issue- 

• If you experience frequent WiFi disconnections, please go to Settings > Wi-Fi > Configure WiFi (Top right hand corner) > Scroll to bottom of the page and check the IP address format (IPv4 = Single line, IPv6 = Multiple lines)> If the IP address is IPv6 based, then turn off the IPv6 Support toggle and see if the disconnections stop.
• If you experience frequent WiFi disconnections due to switches between WiFi and data, please try turning off the Smart Wi-Fi Switcher at Settings > Wi-Fi > Configure WiFi and see if the disconnections stop

Moto G5 Plus Camera Specs leaked!

The Moto G5 Plus is expected to feature a 12MP rear camera, which is of course a downgrade over the Moto G4 Plus in terms of Camera resolution, but one should note that Bigger Camera resolution doesn't always means a better Camera.

Now, According to Roland Quandt, The Moto G5 Plus will come with a 12MP Camera with Sony IMX362 sensor, F1.7 aperture, PDAF, 4K Video recording (Which is same as the one in Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom), 5MP front Camera with F2.2 aperture and OmniVision OV5695.



Recently leaked Real life Image of the Moto G5 Plus has already confirmed few details of the Smartphone including  5.2" FHD Display, 12MP Rapid Focus camera, 3000mAh battery, 2.0Ghz Octa core processor, Fingerprint sensor, NFC and Motorola Experiences.

Motorola is expected to unveil the Moto G5 Plus on February 26th in an event during MWC in Barcelona.

HTC 10 Evo with Snapdragon 810 SoC Launched in India for Rs. 48,990

HTC 10 Evo, the name which we heard a little three months ago in India is again into the news. Back then, the Taiwanese company just announced the phone in India without any details regarding the availability and pricing. Today, the phone has a pricing that is Rs. 48,990. 

A whopping price tag and a mere Snapdragon 810 SoC. That's what HTC is all about. Diving into the specs of the phone, it has a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage with support for expandable storage up to 2TB via a microSD card slot.

Android Wear 2.0 Goes Official; Brings in Google Assistant and Many New Features

Google finally pulled the wraps of their Android Wear 2.0 today, as expected. It was one of the much-anticipated OS of all time and Google till date released five Developer Previews for the OS. 

Along with the Android Wear 2.0, Google also announced the rumored LG Watch Style and LG Watch Sport, which are the first Smartwatches to come preloaded with the latest OS. 

Android Wear 2.0 brings in various new features with the major one being the Google Assistant, which is the Google's own AI engine, previously exclusive to Pixel phones. Other notable features include the 'quick way to respond to messages', which means that you can respond to arrived messages by handwriting or typing or by drawing an emoji, which is a great feature to have around.

Telus Ends Support for Nexus 6P, Nexus 6, and Blackberry Priv

There is a new smartphone coming every now and then, and the old phones are being terminated by the brands. This time, it's the Canada carrier, Telus, who is now ending support for three major smartphones of recent times- Nexus 6P, Nexus 6, and Blackberry Priv.

According to a report coming from MobileSyrup, Telus is reportedly ending support for four phones that includes the above mentioned three phones and Blackberry Leap, released back in May 2016. It is worth noticing that Nexus 6P is also one and half-year-old device.

Also, do make a note that the carrier will sell these phones till the stock lasts and after that, the phones will reach 'End of Life' status from Telus, at least.

The February security patch fixes Pixel's speaker issue for some people

Recently Google started rolling out February's Security patch update for eligible Pixel and Nexus devices. The update not only brought latest Monthly security patch, but it also fixed one of the most annoying bug of few Google Pixel units.



According to r/GooglePixel users who tested the device's audio playing "Perfect Piano" and watching "The Mummy" trailer on full volume, the audio crackling noise bug seems to be fixed after February's Security patch.

Moto Edge Mod Will Add an LED Strip to Your Moto Z Phones

As you might be aware of the fact that Motorola will be releasing more and more Moto Mods in the near future. The company might release at least half a dozen new Moto Mods at the upcoming MWC 2017. 

Recently, Motorola conducted several hackathon events in various countries, including India. And now, they showcased a new Moto Mod which will add a LED strip to your Moto Z series smartphone. 



This Mod is presented by Indiegogo, the crowd-funded Kickstarter project and will be called as 'Moto Edge.' The basic functionality of this Mod is that it will glow whenever a notification arrives onto your phone. The best part is: you can tweak the colors according to your choice with the help of a dedicated application installed on your phone.

Also, this new Edge Mod will be available in two different variants: one with a 2000mAh battery embedded into it called as 'Moto Edge Force, ' and the other one will wirelessly charge your phone called as 'Moto Edge Air'. 



With that said, Motorola may announce these Mods at the MWC 2017, but the official maker will start shipping it from July 2017, if the sources are believed to be true.

 Motorola is widely expected to unveil the much-anticipated Moto G5 and the G5 Plus on February 26th in an event during MWC in Barcelona.

From past a few days, Moto G 2017 has made its appearance on the web - from Case renders to Real life Images, the device has been leaked multiple times.

The Moto G5 Plus is believed to come with 5.5" FHD display, but it seems that Motorola is working on another variant of the G5 Plus with 5.2-inch display.

There are a countless number of leaks and rumors regarding the upcoming Samsung flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8. We have already seen first live image of the Galaxy S8, which came from the most prominent tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks).

Now, another real life Image of the Galaxy S8 has surfaced onto Weibo, giving us a closer look at lower half of the device. We can see dual-edge curved display with thin bezel. The Image also confirms 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus New Renders Gives a Clear Idea of the Design

It was already confirmed that Samsung won't be launching the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus at the MWC 2017, instead, the company is planning to announce them at an event in NewYork on March 29.

Rumors are making rounds over the internet regarding the upcoming flagship phone from the company, but until now we haven't seen a clear look at the phones. But, that's going to change today, thanks to OnLeaks and Gear India for leaking the clear renders of the S8 and S8 Plus. 

Looking at the images, it is pretty much clear that Samsung will be using the same metal and glass body with the S8 as well and the display is now dual curved on both sides, which is the first time we see it from Samsung. The Galaxy S8 will sport a big 5.7-inch screen, whereas the S8 Plus will feature a 6.1-inch display.

At the heart of the phone, there will be a Snapdragon 835 SoC and the company will release another variant of the phone with their Exynos 8895 chipset, coupled with 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM options. Storage on the phones might go up to 256GB, according to previous rumors. 

The phone will use a USB Type-C port and will have an awkwardly placed fingerprint sensor beside the camera module. This renders also confirmed that there won't be any dual camera at the rear side of the phone. 

Moto Z Play is now getting Android 7.0 Nougat

After updating Moto Z and Z Force, Motorola has now started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat for the Moto Z Play. The new update costs 1121.1 MB and brings new features with Sweetest Android Nougat to the Z Play.

Few days ago, Moto Germany said that the Moto Z Play will get the Nougat update in March, but we can now confirm that the update is now out and is available for users of  the Moto Z Play.

According to latest report by Hellomotohk, Lenovo-Motorola is working on a Module which will make your Moto Z Waterproof and will let you use the device under water. 


Lenovo MBG Co-President & SVP Gina Qiao has posted an underwater image on weibo showing the Moto Z with Waterproof Moto Mod. 

According to the information we got, this Moto Mod will be called "Adventure Mod" and keep your Moto Z safe from dust and water.

LG to Release in the US on April 7; A Month After the Official South Korea Launch: Rumor

LG was the first smartphone vendor to confirm about their announcement at the MWC 2017. The company will be announcing the LG G6 at the mega tech show to be held in Barcelona, Spain. 

Rumors are already rife over the internet regarding the specs and design of the phone. While LG officially leaked the top half of the phone, it was all thanks to rumors for showing the complete look of the phone.

That said, here's yet another news about the LG G6 coming from the most reliable Evan Blass (@evleaks). In this tweet on his official Twitter handle, Blass claims that LG will release the smartphone at the MWC 2017 and it will go on sale from March 9, but the US users have to wait till April 7 to get their hands on the device and the reason is still unknown. 

Already consumers are furious about previous leaks suggesting that LG is opting for the older Snapdragon 821 SoC to power the G6, due to some production issues between Samsung and others. However, it is also said that the LG G6 will feature a glass and metallic back, USB Type-C port, 5.7-inch wide display, etc.
