The OnePlus 5 is now official with enhanced OxygenOS, Dual Camera, Ceramic Fingerprint sensor, which can unlock your Smartphone in just 0.2s and other interesting features.

The Dual-Camera of the OnePlus 5 features a 20MP telephoto lens coupled with a more traditional 16MP f/1.7 shooter to accurately determine the distance between the sensor and objects in the environment. HMD ditches 4GB RAM Variant of the Nokia 9 in favor of 6GB and 8GB model

HMD Global, the company behind Nokia is reportedly ditching the 4GB RAM model of the upcoming Nokia 9 Flagship Smartphone in favor of the 6GB and 8GB RAM variants.

The Nokia 9 was planned to come in 4GB, 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, but according to a letter which HMD Global sent to the FCC, the 4GB RAM variant won’t be happening. The Nokia 9, earlier this month was certified by the regulator with model number TA-1004, but HMD requested to modify number as TA-1012.

We have already seen the hands-on Images of the Nokia 9. The dual-camera Smartphone is said to feature Specs 5.27-inch QHD display with a resolution of 1440x 2560 pixels and will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 SoC along with 6GB/8GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. And the model number is 'Heart.' 

The Nokia 9 will come with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and with a fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button same as the current Nokia devices.

There's no fact denying that the OnePlus 5 is one of the most anticipated Smartphone of the year 2017. Starting this year, we saw a lots of rumors, leaks and renders of the OnePlus 5 and all of them had a completely different story to tell.

OnePlus gave The Verge an early access to its Shenzhen facilities to talk about the new Smartphone and its manufacturing process, and one of the things that the News/Media website interviewed and accessed was a glimpse at some of the early dual camera prototype designs of the OnePlus 5. 

As you can see in the above Image, there are total 14 OnePlus 5 prototype with different designs. Some with vertical dual-cameras, few of them looks like the copy of Nexus 6P/Huawei P10, while most of them are having a horizontal Camera like the iPhone 7.

However, the final design of this Smartphone is no longer a mystery as the company has already revealed the render of the OnePlus 5.  Just a day left for the announcement of the OnePlus 5!

The recently launched Moto Z2 Play comes with Android 7.1.1 Nougat, Brand new System icons and a Default Moto App launcher with Google Now Integration and 5x5 icon grid. (Grab the Moto Z2 Play Wallpaper Here)

Well, Android 7.1.1 Nougat Software update for other Motorola Smartphones do brings latest System icons but you will not be getting any new default Pixel-like launcher. However, You can now download the Official Moto App launcher, sideload, and get a taste of Pixel-like launcher with Google now Integration.

Thanks to XDA member, Junior Passos for uploading the Moto App launcher from the Moto Z2 Play. As a warning and reminder, we are not the providers of these files and cannot assure you that they are safe. But, the launcher works perfectly on our Moto Z Play running Android 7.1.1 Nougat and Moto G5 running Android 7.0.

Motorola rolls out May 2017 Android Security patch for the Moto G5 Plus

Just a few days ago we reported that the Moto G4 and Moto G5 Smartphones are Vulnerable to Root Shell Attacks, which can be avoided after installing May's Security Update.

However, Motorola is pushing May 2017 security update for the Moto G5 Plus in India, that apparently solves the problem. Motorola also suggests users update the device as soon as they receive the upgrade.

The update only contains May 2017 security patch, and it doesn't bring any new features whatsoever. While this update would have been more exciting if it had brought Nougat 7.1.1, which is already available for few Moto devices.

The update is already rolling out to the users of  Moto G5 Plus in India. If you did not receive the update wait for few days or try checking for it manually by heading over to system updates section in the Settings app. Make sure you've at least 50 percent juice left on your phone before updating it.

As you all know, OnePlus is hosting an event on June 20 to show off its new hardware to take us through 2017. OnePlus will also hold pop-up events starting June 20 in different countries, where users will be able to grab the OnePlus 5 and some exclusive stuffs.

Now, OnePlus co-founder Pete Lau (Liu Zuohu) has posted a bunch of beautiful images on Chinese social networking site Weibo, showing off the OnePlus 5’s photographic capabilities.

According to the earlier rumors, the OnePlus 5 might come in two variants, 6GB RAM/64GB ROM and 8GB RAM/128GB ROM. It is confirmed to feature Snapdragon 835 processor, 5.5" FHD display and a 3300mAh battery.

This Pixel 2 concept is the Smartphone we want Google to build

This year's Google Pixel 2 will be the most anticipated phone of 2017, which is rumored to release in October. A new concept of the Pixel and Pixel launcher has posted online by a Reddit user Bobby Mckenzie and it looks absolutely stunning.

As you can see in the images, the Pixel 2 will have almost zero sized bezels on either sides and bottom, same as the LG G6 and Essential PH-1. Also, the phone in the images has very small top compared to current Pixel phones.

The rear side of the Pixel 2 Concept shows interestingly arranged dual-cameras and LED Flash, which looks unique. Also, it has the back-mounted fingerprint sensor similar to the current Pixel phones, Google branding and an Antenna band placed slightly above the bottom.

Coming to the Pixel launcher, it is the same one seen the Pixel phones, but Google will probably bring something exclusive and new with the 2017 Pixel Smartphones.

Late last month, Essential revealed its PH-1 Smartphone with top-notch specs and mouth-watering design. The entire package is offered at a price of just $699, way less than the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Moto G4 Play starts receiving Android 7.1.1 Nougat (Soak test) Update

After announcing the update for the device earlier, Motorola has finally started pushing the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for the Moto G4 Play Soak test users in Brazil.

The update comes with latest June 2017 Security patch, New System icons, Duo Video calling application and other Android 7.1.1 goodies. The build number after the update is NPI26.48-8 and it weighs in at around 638MB.

For now, the update is reportedly rolling out in phases for a few Moto G4 Play users in Brazil.This means that the Android 7.1.1 Nougat won't be coming to all devices at once, but selected users will get the update.

Motorola’s instructions explain that for a successful installation, the battery in your phone should be at least 50% charged and your device should be connected to a Wi-Fi network or LTE.

If you haven't got the notification of this new software update yet, Just go to Settings - About Phone - Software updates, and It will automatically start downloading the latest update. The update will take around 10-15 minutes to get Installed on your device

Report: Google reaches 1.8 Million in Pixel sales

Google had a promising start to their own smartphones, Pixel and Pixel XL impressing everyone right from day one. According to new reports from BayStreet Researchers, Google has sold close to 1.8 million Pixels since it launched nearly eight months ago.

The Pixel and Pixel XL were the best phones of 2016, but getting a hand on one of them was difficult as the phones were already out of stock. The report also states that around 475,000 Google Pixel devices were sold in the second quarter of the year 2017 (which ends on June 30th.)

Google is already looking for the next generation Pixel phones, As per earlier rumors Google is investing an amount that is close to $1 billion to develop OLED panels and if this rumor is believed to be true and if LG accepts the deal, we don't have to face any availability issues with the upcoming Pixel 2 flagship phone and the sales will apparently surpass the current numbers.

OnePlus 3 and 3T Receives OxygenOS Open Beta 18 and 9 Update

Chinese smartphone firm, OnePlus has released a new OxygenOS Beta update to the OnePlus 3 and 3T. The OnePlus 3T receives OxygenOS Beta 9, and the OnePlus 3's version is OxygenOS Beta 18.

Unlike the previous update which focused on adding new features, the new beta update fixes various bug fixes caused in the last update. For example, the duplicate notifications bug has been fixed in this update.

Furthermore, the new beta also updates OnePlus Community app to V1.9, it also fix sending files via 3rd party applications like Shareit or Xender. Take a look at the complete changelog of the update below:

With just a few days left for the formal announcement of the OnePlus 5, thanks to one of the most reliable tipster krispitech, we now have another leaked image of the OnePlus 5 showing the rear half.

The curved corners, antenna band, horizontal dual-cameras followed by LED flash and microphone are clearly visible. Above the Power button there's a sim-card tray.

That said, the OnePlus 5 might come in two variants, 6GB RAM/64GB ROM and 8GB RAM/128GB ROM. It is confirmed to feature Snapdragon 835 processor, 5.5" FHD display with 3D Glass and dual rear cameras of 20MP and 16MP.

OnePlus will also hold pop-up events starting June 20 in different countries, where users will be able to grab the OnePlus 5 and some exclusive stuffs.

Moto Z2 specs revealed by AnTuTu

As you all know, Motorola is hosting an event "Motorola is back" on June 27, where it is likely to reveal the new Moto Z and Moto Z Force with dual-camera setup.

While we have already seen the leaked renders of the upcoming Moto Z2, the device has been run through the AnTuTu benchmark test. As a result, AnTuTu was able to post and confirm the specs for the handset.

From the listing we can tell you that, the Second Generation Moto Z will be called Moto Z(2), which was rumoured earlier as well. The device will feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset with Adreno 540 GPU, 5.5" QHD (2560 x 1440) display. Under the hood you will find 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage. A 12MP + 12MP Dual camera setup on the rear, 5MP to the front and Android 7.1.1 will come pre-installed.

The Moto Z2 is expected to come with metal back and usual 16 magnetic pins to connect the Moto Mods. Motorola might also launch few new Moto Mods along with the Moto Z2 and Moto Z2 Force. That said, we don't know how much will the Moto Z2 cost, but as compared to the Moto Z2 Play cost, don't expect it to be cheap.

Google is testing a new transparent Google Now panel

As reported by a bunch of reddit users, Google is now experimenting a new background design for its Google now page. 

The below screenshots are from version 7.3 of the Google app, the latest UI is somewhat similar to the Google Now panel you have right now, except the background is now transparent and shows the current wallpaper underneath the shortcuts and cards. The Google logo is no more and the search bar has been moved to the top.

That said, Google seems to be testing or maybe rolling out the new transparent Google Now panel UI. So far, only a few reddit users has reported these design changes. Anyone else seeing it? Let us know in the below comment section!
