Last week Apple announced the Almost Bezel-less iPhone X along with the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The iPhone X comes with a 5.8-inch all-screen OLED Super Retina HD display, and Face Unlock Security feature.

This time Apple used its own A11 Bionic chipset in the iPhone X and duo iPhone 8(s). The SoC has six CPU cores, with the ability to run all of them simultaneously.

Now, the iPhone X went through GeekBench 4, and both the the single-core and multi-core scores prove that the chipset is indeed very powerful. With A11 Bionic chipset, the iPhone X beats all the 2017 flagship Smartphones in the market including the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Samsung Galaxy S8,  Samsung Galaxy S8+ and the OnePlus 5.

The multi-core scores for the iPhone X is at 10,069 while the single-core score for the iPhone X is at 4,188. Motorola confirms it will update the Moto G4 Plus to Android Oreo

Motorola confirms it will update the Moto G4 Plus to Android Oreo
Just a little few days back, Motorola announced the list of Moto devices getting Android 8.0 Oreo update. In a move that disappoints Moto G4 Plus users, Motorola eliminated the 2016 Moto G series from that list.

Additionally, Motorola removed all mentions of Android Oreo from the Moto G4 Plus product page. The page had previously said the device would get Android “versions N and O,” but the O part was removed.

Motorola responded today with the following to their Oreo updates blog post:
Since the time of posting this, we have learned of some errors in our marketing materials around Android O upgrades for moto g4 Plus. It’s our general practice for the moto g family to get one major OS upgrade per device, so it wasn’t originally planned for Android O. But it’s important to us we keep our promises, so in addition to the N upgrade it has already received, we will be upgrading moto g4 Plus to Android O. Because this is an unplanned upgrade, it will take some time to fit into our schedule, we’ll update our software upgrade page when we have more info.
In other words, Motorola will now update the Moto G4 Plus (Not the Moto G4 or Moto G4 Play) to Android 8.0 Oreo. However, it might take too long for the update to reach the Moto G4 Plus devices. Thoughts?

Google Play Protect is breaking bluetooth on Moto G4 Smartphones

Google Play Protect is breaking bluetooth on Moto G4 Smartphones
The recently announced Google Play Protect helps you keep your device safe and secure. It runs a safety check on apps from the Google Play Store before you download them. It checks your device for potentially harmful apps from other sources, warns you about any detected potentially harmful apps found, and removes known harmful apps from your device.

Now, the Google Play Protect feature is mistaking a system app called Bluetooth Share 7.0 for something unsafe on several Moto G4 devices. Play Protect then disables the app and displays a message "Bluetooth Share 7.0 can damage your device, Uninstall/Remove now."

Once removed, your Bluetooth will fail when turned on. Since Bluetooth Sharing app is a system app and it cannot be uninstalled. You can revert the changes back (Enable the Bluetooth Sharing app) by going to Settings > Applications > Reset Application Settings.

Are you facing such issue? Let us know in the below comment section!

Mi A1 Android One Firmware Ported to the Mi 5X

Mi A1 Android One Firmware Ported to the Mi 5X
Just yesterday, we reported that the Mi A1 firmware cannot be flashed on the Mi 5X because Mi A1 uses A/B system that the Pixel devices use. The A/B systems means that when the device gets an update it will be downloaded and installed on the second system partition and when you restart that second partition will swap to become System A instead of B to make the updating process seamless.

The A/B system can probably be altered by editing Boot Image files. Well, You can now Install Mi A1 Android One Firmware to the Mi 5X, Thanks to developer "heli0us". Additionally, all aspects of the phone are working as expected (No bugs).

You'll need to Unlock Bootloader and Install TWRP Custom Recovery in-order to Install the Android One Firmware on Mi 5X Tiffany. You can grab the Custom Rom ZIP file from below.

Beware: Mi A1 Firmware Bricks Mi 5X

We all know that the Mi A1 is exactly the carbon copy of the Mi 5X in terms of Hardware and Design but on the Software side the Mi A1 is powered with Google's own Stock Android Nougat while the Mi 5X runs Xiaomi's MIUI 9.

Additionally, the partitions are different between the two devices due to the Mi A1 using the A/B system that the Pixel devices uses. The A/B systems means that when the device gets an update it will be downloaded and installed on the second system partition and when you restart that second partition will swap to become System A instead of B to make the updating process seamless.

DON'T FLASH THE MI A1 ANDROID ONE FIRMWARE ON YOUR MI 5X, IT WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE.

With the Mi A1, you get a 5.5-inch FHD LTPS IPS LCD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage plus microSD support up to 128GB, 12MP Wide Angle + 12MP Telephoto (Same like the iPhone 7 Plus) for the best low-light, zoom and anti-blur photos with enhanced image processing, 5MP front camera, 3080mAh battery, and Android 7.0 Nougat.

The Xiaomi Mi A1 will be available Offline and Online in India starting 14,999 INR (233 USD) on September 12.
