Rumor: Moto will be the only Lenovo mobile brand

From Moto G4 and G4 Plus launch event in Japan.
Moto(rola) has had quite a year. First, it was announced the brand would be phased out. Then, all the executive team we knew was either changed or left the company. Then we've saw most of the tech sites jump on the hate bandwagon. And after a couple heart attacks like those, we saw most of it was false and that Motorola was still alive, launching amazing smartphones like the Moto Z with MotoMods.

Now, there's a new rumor in the house, that suggests Lenovo will stop using its own brand in smartphones and only keep the Moto brand. HellomotoHK was the one who reported this, and he's had a great record at leaking information and pictures.

He said Lenovo would announce a change in its MBG executive team, chaning its co-President. This was before Lenovo's financial report came out, and one of the announcements was that one. If the rest is true, then we will see many Motorola phones coming next year, which is good for us, fans.

And it would also mean we won't see Vibe or ZUK phones in the future. Everything might turn into Moto G, E, Z and so on. Or maybe, just maybe, they keep those brands and combine them with Moto, having MotoVIBE, for example. Who knows? Everything is possible.

It won't stop: Here are More Motorola Moto M Images

The new Moto M is Moto's worst kept secret right now, leaking all over the place. We now have more pictures from this interesting phone. Coming in from an anonymous tipster, these new pictures show the phone in all its glory.

You can also see all its full specs on the first picture, showing it comes with a 13/8MP camera set up, a 5.5" 1080p, an MTK Helio P15 processor clocked at 2.2GHz and 4 gigs of RAM. And there's also a 3050mAH battery on board.

You can also see there's a dual-speaker set up at the bottom, being a first for Motorola. All the other pictures show what we all know now, though, so we won't know much more until the official unveiling, rumored for next week.

Check out the other pictures:

Motorola's awesome new Ad

Motorola just uploaded a new video to promote the Moto Z and its MotoMods platform. The new minute long ad is actually very cool, featuing classic Motorola elements like the iconic "Hellomoto" phrase, the batwing being shown everywhere, and platinum blonde models that remind us of those old MotoRazr ads.

The ad talks about how innovative the Moto Z is in a world where innovation had been stuck since 2007. Check it out here:

The colorful ad even gives Motorola some recognition at the end of it, saying "Moto branded products are designed and manufactured by Motorola", a Lenovo subsidiary. This hadn't been shown since Lenovo's integration of Motorola.

But it seems that after ten months since the rebranding strategy and a new visual identity, they saw it's the opportunity to clarify that Motorola and its iconic elements (Motorola logo, hellomoto phrase, and so on) are here to stay.

Moto Z Play Review: You will love this long-lasting "Modular" Device

Moto Z Play's battery is just insane, the 3510mAh battery can go for 2 days (Or may be 3) with a full charge, if used moderately. The battery takes Approx 1 hour 15 minutes to get fully charged with Turbo charger.

The specifications are not competitive at this price. But The Performance is fast and smooth , Stock Android Marshmallow adds more sweetness to its performance. Though the Device will be getting Android 7.0 Nougat by the end of this year.

Camera

Moto Z Play features a 16-megapixel Rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, laser and phase detect autofocus and LED flash . It has a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie shooter with LED flash.

Admittedly, The Images taken with Rear 16MP camera is not to great as compared with other flagship smartphones, but still they are acceptable.
The Video comes little bit shaky when in hands because of lack of OIS. Yes, You can also shoot 4K videos with Moto Z Play.

Though the Front facing 5MP selfie-shooter shoots good selfies and It has a LED flash too.

Software-

The device comes out with Pure Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Pre-loaded Moto, Moto File manager and Moto Mods Application. The Moto App contains Moto Actions, Moto Voice and Moto Display.

Exclusive: rear e-ink display Moto Mod

Months back, A whole new concept with innovative design "Moto Z" and "Moto Mods" were launched by Lenovo and Motorola. With this innovation Motorola took the Smartphone word to whole new level and probably shook the Smartphone industry.

The Swapable "Moto Mods" which gets easily attached to Moto Z through 16 magnetic pins makes Moto Z a Semi-modular Smartphone. For now there are 5 "Moto Mods" namely "JBL SoundBoost", "Moto Insta-Share Projector", "Hasselblad True Zoom", "Incipio offGRID Power Pack" and Moto Style Shell.

Lenovo and Motorola also allows Developers to participate and develop their own Moto Mods via Moto Mods development kit.

According to a new information we got from our Source, Motorola is working on a new E-Ink display Moto Mod. Yes! You heard it right. Just Like Yotaphone, The Moto Z will be able to project the e-ink Screen on the rear.

Exclusive: New rear e-ink display Moto Mod

This new Moto Mod will covert the rear of Moto Z to a secondary e-ink display. Above Image is the prototype of upcoming e-ink display Moto Mod that will get attached to the Moto Z, projecting the secondary screen.

Motorola phones to come with the batwing boot logo once again!

Motorola fans hoped this would come back...and it did! Hellomoto! Motorola just uploaded a new video to their social media accounts which will be the new boot animation on Moto phones. As you may know, the batwing logo had been missing from Moto G4 and Moto Z devices, in favor of the Moto word. It seems the batwing was too iconic to let go, and now it's making a comeback.

Along with the video, Motorola says this boot animation is new, fresh and full of all the things we love, like the batwing logo. It's pretty cool!

Lenovo Communications youtube channel also uploaded this video, and its description says "This animation will also be the power-up on new Moto phones", confirming that HelloMoto is here to stay.

HelloMoto has been Motorola's slogan since 2002, appearing as power-up on the Razr and all the phones we love. They also used it as their website, hellomoto.com (which will now send you to motorola.com) and on many TV commercials. Lenovo is changing their Moto strategy now, and instead of making it look like a new brand, they want everyone to know that neither Motorola, nor its legacy are going away.
