Vote for your favorite Smartphone brand of 2016

December 19, 2016
So many things happened in the tech world this year! Earlier this year, we saw HTC make its tenth comeback with the HTC 10, while Samsung continued on its Galaxy S success with the S7. At the same time LG tried to claim the "modularity King" title while Motorola gave them a run for their money with the Moto Z series.
And that's not half of the story! Lenovo impressed us with its Tango phone while Google released its Pixel, with Huawei even admitting they were the original manufacturers for it and that the Nexus phones have never succeed. And while we wait for Nokia's comeback next year, the mid-tier and low-end categories got really competitive this year. We saw Motorola expand its G, E and M lines (and the last remaining Lenovo Vibe phones), while Sony and LG moved to the X series, releasing many phones under the X brand. Samsung and Huawei continued world dominance with their Galaxy and Honor series, but OnePlus became a household name.
If we move out of Android, we enter the scary Apple space. We saw a cheaper iPhone earlier this year, remember? Then Apple released the iPhone 7 series and sold millions of it, as always. Samsung tried to compete with this new iPhone but its Note 7 went down as one of the biggest disasters in tech history after exploding and making them lose millions.
Now it's time for our readers to choose which brand released the best phones of the year. You can only pick one!
5 reasons not to buy the Moto M
By Vaibhav Jain
on
December 19, 2016
The new Moto M - Motorola's first all-metal smartphone - has been launched in the Indian market
According to Lenovo "M" of the Motorola Moto M stands for Metal, but According to us "M" is for Mediatek.
Here are five reasons not to buy the Motorola Moto M-
1. Mediatek -
We don't know why Motorola is using a Mediatek chipset, The Moto M comes with a 64-bit MediaTek Helio P15 processor.
The Gaming and Overall performance of the device is not so great. This device will surely lack developer support just because of Mediatek Chipset.
2. Android Updates -
Moto E3 Power which was launched few months ago hasn't been listed to "Official Motorola Devices which will get Android 7.0 Nougat", the reason is Moto E3 Power comes with a Mediatek Processor and even Motorola is not sure that it will handle Android 7.0 Nougat easily or not!
Same with Moto M, There's no confirmation whether this device will get future Android Updates or not!
3. IPS Display -
The Moto M, Indian variant comes with an IPS Display and the company hasn't listed it yet on their Official Website.
This is one of the biggest drawback of the Moto M, Motorola could have used Super Amoled Display.
4. Overpriced -
The Motorola Moto M comes in two variants - 32GB/3GB at 15,999/- and 64GB/4GB at 17,999/- . The Smartphone is overpriced as compared to other Smartphones in this range.
In comparison, The Lenovo ZUK Z2 Plus comes at 17,999/- and packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.
5. No water resistance -
The Motorola Moto M has an advanced nano-coating technology that creates a water repellent barrier to help protect against moderate exposure to water such as accidental spills, splashes or light rain. It Not designed to be submersed in water, or exposed to pressurized water, or other liquids.

WhatsApp upcoming feature will allow users to revoke and edit messages
By Vaibhav Jain
on
December 17, 2016
WhatsApp is planning to introduce two new features that will probably change the way you chat with your friends/family.
According to reports, WhatsApp is working on a feature that will allow users to revoke and edit messages which they have sent.
Revoking will immediately delete the message you have sent. Apparently, revoking messages feature will also delete photos and videos in the phone of the recipient. This feature is different from existing delete option where contents are only deleted from sender's phone and not recipients.
The edit option will let users to edit or change the sent text message. This should really be helpful considering we all type messages on our virtual keypad where the chances of typos are really high.
