Now What OnePlus is doing is, implementing selfei shooter on top bezel. Below Patent via LetsGoDigital, Oneplus has mentioned that this solution is cheaper than cutting a hole in the screen, that's punch-hole selfei camera we're saw in the OnePlus 8, and more benefits includes, there won't be any distraction, like no screen pixel issue, no motorized part inside a phone, and greater screen to body ratio. What You Should Look For When Shopping For A New Phone
With mobile phones, we connect with family and friends, download and access reports, take impressive photos and videos, or run our businesses. Software development has made it possible for these devices to pinpoint our location and know where we’re going at all times.
With these advanced capabilities and features, plus various accessories such as those available at https://blackbrookcase.com/, it’s no wonder why there are more than 3 billion mobile phone users globally.
If you’re thinking about purchasing a new mobile phone, here are some of the features you should look into (in no particular order of importance):
- Build quality.
I don’t know about you, but this is on top of my list simply because it translates to a phone’s durability. I like my mobile phones to last for a very long time, and to withstand the impact in case I accidentally drop them – which I do.
Most phones in the market are made from metal and plastic, while the more expensive ones may feature glass-coated panels. If you often throw your phone in a fit of rage or you’re prone to dropping it, you’re better off with a metal or plastic body.
- Display size and type.
Gamers prefer phones with large-sized and high-resolution screens, no question about it. If you love to play mobile games or you don’t have 20/20 vision, a screen of at least 5.7 inches would do you better. If you need your phone for checking messages, emails and other correspondence, a 5-inch phone would be enough.
Android users can choose from either LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) or AMOLED (Active-Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode) screen. LCDs are typically found in mid- range phones while more expensive phones use the latter; it’s known for producing more vibrant colors.
- Battery life and charging time.
Frankly, this is one of the most important phone features that I look at before buying. I don’t want my phone to run out of juice while taking an important call, and I definitely don’t want a fancy phone dying on me in times of emergencies.
Besides choosing a high-capacity battery - 4,000mAh is the current average - also consider the phone’s screen, resolution and refresh rate, as they strongly affect battery performance. Check phone reviews to see if the phone of your dreams can handle heavy use.
If you want to keep your phone on for 24 hours, opt for models with wireless or fast charging technologies so that you don’t miss out on things that matter to you.
- Operating system.
- Processor and RAM.
This one’s also a game changer, as a mobile phone’s overall performance relies mainly on the capacities of its processor and the available space on its random-access memory (RAM). Qualcomm, Exynos, and Mediatek are widely used on Android phones, while Apple and Huawei have their own processors.
- Internal storage.
Most phones sport either 64GB, 128GB, 256GB or even 512GB capacities. Think of how much you actually need or plan to use. If you plan to store files that take up lots of space such as videos, movies and high-resolution photos, you should go 128GB+. Otherwise, an internal memory of 64GB may be sufficient for your needs.
- Camera quality.
Is it a mobile phone or a digital camera? Photography enthusiasts and hobbyists are slowly turning to their mobile phones to do the job. Having features such as artificial intelligence (AI), hybrid autofocus, optical stabilization, special effects and filters also work great for people who want to post their every move on Facebook or Instagram. More than sky high pixels, check the camera apps and capacity to take beautiful shots even under low or non-existent ambient light.
Final Thoughts
Choosing the right phone depends heavily on personal preference. Set your priorities, check your lifestyle and decide how you’re going to use the device on a daily basis, before coming up with a few choices. Some things only sound and look good on paper, so make sure you’re able to test the phone before deciding to buy it.
OnePlus 9 to Support 8K at 30fps Video Recording
So now that we've seen the inital design of OnePlus Next Flagship, let's move to the high-end Specifications it is coming with, and looks like we have a huge improvement there. Just wanna say OnePlus is not playing games anymore, they're bringing something huge upgrades to the table this time. It's not normal upgrade, this is a huge Improvement in their
SoWe can Exclusively Confirm both the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro will supports 8K Video Recording at 30fps. Right now no OnePlus Smartphones supports 8K at 30fps, even the Galaxy S20 series supports 8K at 24fps. Only a very few smartphones supports 8K at 30Fps right now. The Current Chipset 865 and upcoming CPU 875 5G do supports 8K at 30Fps, but the Camera sensor OnePlus is using right now the IMX586 is not capable of 8K video recording, even the IMX689 there's no confirmation if it can record 8K at 30Fps.
OFFICIALLY we've a few sensors which can do 8k at 30Fps and those are, Samsung's 108MP, The GW2 64MP, Omnivision OV48C which is there in the Mi 10 Ultra, and the Upcoming IMX 786 may support 8K at 30fps.There are some sensors and phones which upscales 4k or 6k, and make them 8k, but there are only a few which actually supports 8k at 30fps. No information on which sensor OnePlus is goonna use, but this do mean we're indeed getting a new and better Sensor which can do 8k at 30Fps with High Dynamic Range On.
Please Welcome in 8K at 30fps Video Recording - OnePlus 9 / OnePlus 9 Pro pic.twitter.com/ZThARQjV0l

Tips for Making a Website Mobile-Friendly
Check Your Website on a Mobile
The first step is to face what your website looks like on a mobile. Don't be surprised if the website you spent so long perfecting looks like it was completed in a day on a phone – it's a completely different platform! You need to know what you're dealing with, so take note of all the errors. Is it difficult to scroll? Is the size of the text wrong? It's also a good idea to test it on different types of phones, as websites can differ between them.
Keep it Simple
The key to creating a mobile-friendly website is to condense information. Help the user experience by cutting text right down and making the content short and simple. Remember, people have to use their thumbs to scroll through, so don't tire them out by putting a huge lump of text on the homepage of your website.
The screen is small, so keep the text short and friendly, and don't use too many images. You don't have as much room to play with as you do on a desktop, so make the space count.
Outsource
Outsourcing help for your website is an excellent way of guaranteeing quality. If you have never thought of creating a website for mobile before now, then it's better to be safe and put it in the hands of professionals. Use an SEO agency that can create a user-friendly website and increase traffic.
Look at Other Sites
There's no shame in looking at how other people have successfully created a mobile-friendly website. Take a successful brand, get their website up on both your computer and your phone, and then note any differences. You might notice a change in font, images, and the amount of content. Use their mobile websites to inspire how you make your own attractive and user-friendly.
Use Icons
As previously mentioned, you are aiming to condense your information, which means getting rid of unnecessary words. Using icons is a simple way of getting rid of text clutter. Users will be able to understand their meaning and work their way through your mobile website easily. Much like roads use signs to direct traffic, you can use icons to direct your users.
Size Up
One of the most common problems with mobile websites is the size of the text. All too often, users are put off by having to zoom in just to read, so make sure you make your fonts large enough. This also applies to images – you don't want your users to get halfway down a page only to find a blown-up image that they struggle to scroll past!
Your goal is to make the website as clear and functional as positive on a small device, so make sure the size of your content lines up with that.
How to Build Your Tech Skills for Job Applications
Tech knowledge is always going to set you apart in the job market, because even those businesses that aren’t directly selling technology-related services will still undoubtedly implement technology into their everyday business routine in order to promote efficiency.
Here's how you can make sure your tech knowledge is up to scratch for presenting a professional resume for job applications.
Get Qualified
One of the best and most eye-catching ways you can demonstrate your tech knowledge is by gaining a degree in this area. This will show all potential employers that you have tech knowledge on a professional level. The great aspect of tech-related degrees is that they can be applied to a variety of job roles and industries, so this degree will definitely open many doorways for you and make sure that your job application stands out in the right way.
Take a Training Course
You don’t have to study for a full-blown technology-related degree to make yourself stand out at as a job applicant. Anything you do to improve your tech skills will be beneficial to both you, and your applications, and this includes training courses. Training courses are great ways to build professional knowledge and fill in the gaps for key tech knowledge that many businesses may want, like undertaking Google Cloud Platform training or training yourself up in social media, software and more.
Study in Your Own Time
If you’re serious about building your tech skills in order to apply for a wider range of jobs, then you may want to utilize your spare time wisely by investing in resources and learning materials you can use to learn more. You could browse online articles or tutorials, or invest in tech-related books to help you develop a deeper understanding of tech.
You can also list this as a hobby on your resume to show that you have a keen interest in tech, which extends to learning about it as much as possible in your spare time.
Practice with Pieces of Tech
While you can brush up as much as you like on the theory of technical processes and using technology, you’re going to need to be able to demonstrate your knowledge, too. The only way to build your confidence with using tech, like smart devices and computers, is by using them. Therefore investing in tech to practice with and making sure you use tech regularly means it’ll soon become second nature to you, and you will be able to demonstrate these skills at the interview stage, or in a job.
Takeaway
If you’re serious about building your tech skills as much as possible then dedicating all your time (spare and professional) to qualifications, learning, training and technology usage will be key to your own development and job application success.
6 Camera Features to Look for in a Phone
Your camera features can help you with such, so you need to look into the following features when buying a new mobile phone:
Digital SLR-Like Cameras
Digital SLR cameras are one of the latest innovations in photography, and one of the first people to embrace them were professional photographers. With a digital SLR, you can use the camera to take as many pictures as you like. This makes digital SLR cameras great for family photos, portraits, and those who want to capture events in a professional yet casual way.
However, if you're a person who wants to integrate a digital SLR into a mobile phone, you can do so. Pick the phones with such features so you can have a two-in-one device. One of the popular phones with a DSLR-like camera is Vivo X50 Pro, which professional photographers can use to capture high-quality pictures.
Digital Zoom
Most phones today can zoom in and out. When you try to take a picture, and the background gets out of focus, the phone will crop the image so that the background is crisp. This is an excellent feature because it ensures the image is sharp.

Automatic Focus
You should also look for an automatic focus feature. Some phone cameras can automatically focus so you don't have to adjust your phone camera manually. Other cameras are only able to focus a portion of the image and then let you know. This allows you to focus on the essential parts of the image without focusing on the wrong part of the photo.
Video Camera
Most phones allow you to record videos using the built-in video recording function. This means you can take the video on your phone or place it onto the computer and watch it there. Some of these devices allow you to control the sound being recorded and adjust the audio volume with a finger's touch. These features will enable you to take better quality videos, even if you're using a phone.
Shake Reduction Feature
Although rare, some cameras offer a feature called ‘shake reduction.’ This means the camera will slow down the picture during video recording, making it look sharper and less blurry. While this may seem unimportant, it's an incredible feature to have if you're using the phone to take a wide-angle photo.
Manual Controls
Although automatic controls are usually what people use when taking photographs using a phone, it's still best that it has manual controls available as well. Some cameras will allow you to set different settings, such as ISO, aperture, white balance, and other functions. This means you can make your photos look sharper, especially if you're using the camera outdoors.
The picture quality of the camera depends on the settings you use. You must keep the best settings in mind, so if you have to take the picture at night, the auto-exposure is usually the best option. Or if you have to take photos in low lighting conditions, the aperture setting is best.
There are times when you want to use the photo-editing tools to correct a wrong setting you've used. Therefore, you should choose the camera with a built-in photo editing tool so you won't have to install another app.
Conclusion
It's a good idea to get a camera capable of recording both movies and photos. Since you may not want to bring lots of gadgets whenever you want to capture a picture, your mobile device is enough. So long as it has essential camera features, you can capture images like a professional photographer.
Especially if the phone has a digital SLR-like camera, you won't have to worry about its resolution. If you're not into photography, you don't have to worry because one of the best phone camera features is an automatic focus. With such, your phone camera will automatically adjust to create the best resolution of the image.
You also need a phone camera with a superb video camera since taking videos of things you do is also one of the trends nowadays. You can record high-quality videos if your phone camera has a shake reduction feature.
Moreover, if you're a professional photographer and want a better resolution depending on every image you're capturing, you need to have phone cameras with manual controls. That being said, you can enjoy and post superb photos using your mobile device.
Google Pixel 5 - TOP 5 FEATURES
The Google Pixel 5 is now OFFICIAL. We have the OFFICIAL Details, Specifications and Features and It's way different then what the Pixel Flagship line was made for.
The OG Pixel, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3 XL, and Pixel 4 XL all Got Flagship CPUs, We saw some design experiments, like Huge bezels in Pixel 2, A huge notch on Pixel 3 XL, and Last Year there was a huge top for useless Soli Radar. This time However things are Perfect in terms of Design, but in terms of Specifications and mainly CPU, it's not looking good.
Here are top 5 features of the brand new Pixel 5 Smartphone.
1. Design
So you're looking at the first Google Smartphone with symmetrical bezels and i must say this is a really Good design, there's a punch hole on top left corner, It's huge no doubt, but this design is way better than what the Pixel 4, or Pixel 3 XL was. This is an OLED Display with 90Hz Refersh Rate, 90Hz is I think a sweet spot, i'm in for that.
The Back design is also really nice, and in sorta sage green color it looks unique. the Entire rear is made of aluminium. Wireless Charging does not work through metal, but there's a cutout for the transmission of energy. So yeah Metal it is and it looks and ofcourse gonna feel really amazing.
2. Performance
So the Pixel 5 features a Mid range Snapdragon 765G 5G CPU, which can also be found in the OnePlus Nord which cost just 339 USD if you convert the Indian pricing. The 765G is based on 7nm Process and is decent for Daily usage, I haven't seen any lags on my Nord so i guess same for the Pixel 5, Additionally there's also 8GB of RAM with 128GB of Storage.
3. Camera
Now it's not about the Design like a Glass Panel, or Performance like Flagship 865 CPU, it's all about the best Cameras and Image Processing, the Pixel 5 is once again going to smash most Phones in terms of Camera Performance and Image Processing. There's 12.2MP Main Camera which supports 4K 60FPS and 1080p 240FPS video recording, it is the same sensor used in the Pixel 4, Pixel 3 XL, only difference will be in image processing and there's also a 16MP wide-angle camera. No Telephoto is quite disappointng, but yeah Google's image processing can make zoomed images looks like taken from Telephoto.
4 Software
Second most important thing inside Google Pixel Phones is Software, it is straight from the brand who owns Android, so security patches, and major updates before all is something most need for a secure usage. There's also some Pixel exclusive Software like Screen Call, Integrated Google assistant and much more.
This is a bloatware free experience which is something you won't find in Xiaomi or OnePlus devices too coz now they come with Facebook and Messenger. So yeah Pixel 5 with best Software.
5. Hidden Addons
This may go unnoticed, but the Pixel 5 features Flagship IP68 Certification, there's 4080mAH BATTERY with Wireless Charging and reverse wireless charging, and it's overall a great and decent phone. 699 US dollars will be the price, it's going one on one with the S20 FE, iPhone 12 Mini and OnePlus 8T. I won't say you should just go and grab Pixel 5, but if you want a decent phone for normal performance usage and great cameras, the Pixel 5 is the one to get.
Google expected to sell only 800K units of Pixel 5 in 2020
"Google gave a relatively conservative order forecast this year because its flagship Pixel 4 did not sell well last year, and because COVID-19 is causing their team to stay on the safe side concerning handsets for now."
FYI, Google sold 7.2 million Pixel Smartphones last year, but this year due to Covid-19, All the Tech Giants including Google got affected, so shipping 3M Units of New Phones in 2020 is not bad at all.

So the launch event Kicks 14th October and we're also expecting New OnePlus Nord Devices with OnePlus Buds Z and finally OnePlus Watch.
Sorry, Android. Google Widget on iPhone is Cool
This is the Google Pixel 5
With the Pixel 5, Google is planning to follow same approach, that's a Plastic Body with Rear-Fingerprint Scanner, and Dual Cameras on Back. Google is using Snapdragon 765 5G CPU in this one.
Basically, it can be seen, Google is mainly focusing on two things, that's Android Software and Camera. There's also a lot Cheaper Google Pixel 4A 5G Coming in with nearly same Specs like Pixel 5 but downgrade Design.
This year there's no Flagship Pixel device like with Higher-Refresh rate, or Higher Megapixels count, or Snapdragon 865 CPU, or IP68 Rating. Main focus is again on Camera, which are unbeatable and Software.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Goes Against the iPhone 11 Pro Max / OnePlus 8 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 10 in Battery Drain Comparison
Samsung's latest beast the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra comes with this massive 6.9" LTPO Display, 120Hz Adaptive Refresh Rate and sadly Exynos 990 CPU for most markets. Samsung used 4500mAh battery with the Note 20 Ultra which is quite shocking because the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra comes with a huge 5000mAh Battery.
We were able to get our early hands on the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and we put it up against most popular High-end devices from different brands including OnePlus 8 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 10, iPhone 11 Pro Max and Samsung's own Galaxy S20 Plus.
We used 60Hz Refresh Rate in the Note 20 Ultra and FHD+ Display for a fair Comparison. Surprisingly the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra did really well considering it's huge 6.9" Panel and ofcourse Exynos 990 CPU.
Below Video Shows Samsung's Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Battery Drain Test. We used Application and Games like PubG, YouTube, Instagram and Video Camera at 1080P 60fps and 4K 60fps.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Looks Stunning
The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Plus gets a few differnces, like 6.4 inches Flat Display on Note 20, while there's 6.9" Curve in the Note 20 Plus. This time Samsung is using 120Hz LTOP screen in the Note 20 Plus which you can use with max out 1440p resolution, it's not like the S20 Plus where the max resolution was 1080P for 120Hz. The Note 20, however, may use the 60Hz base panel which is quite disappointing.
Samsung is closing the gap between the S and Note lineup, only difference is Note's boxy design and the S-Pen. Below is your first 360 Spin Look to Galaxy Note 20 courtesy Evan Blass.
Samsung is again going with 108MP Camera in the Plus model paired with a Wideangle Sensor, and a Priscope 50X Zoom. The non-plus still use 12MP Sensor, and there's a Telephoto lens too.
Samsung may also launch new OneUI with some new and fine animations, there is IP68 Certification, 4500mAh on Note 20 Plus, and 4300mAh on Note 20, along with Super Fast Charging Speed. So over all, the Specifications and Design looks really really amazing.
Samsung is also adding new features to the S pen, you're gonna see faster response time with 120Hz new animations and interface.
OnePlus Nord to Feature Dual Front Facing Selfie Camera

According to Android Central and Max J., OnePlus Nord would feature Dual Front Facing Selfie Camera of 32MP + 8MP. Good news is Unlike the Poco X2, the OnePlus Nord is getting a Secondary Wide-angle Shooter.
In terms of the Design, the OnePlus Nord is getting Dual-Hole Punch on top Left corner like the Huawei P40, however the Punch-hole won't be as long as the P40.
Other Specifications includes a Snapdragon 765 5G CPU, 12GB RAM, Quad Camera Setup. OnePlus may launch the OnePlus Nord in Teal, Pink, White and Black Colors.

Samsung is testing two options of this OIS Selfei camera right now, and that's 1/2” selfei sensor with a bigger resolution, and another with 1/2.55” with lower Megapixel count. OIS is gonna help in Avoding Blurry Camera shots and that's gonna be a huge improvement. Main focus will be on the Software and Image Processing because of the UDC mechanism.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Goes OFFICIAL
So the Mi 10 lite comes with a nice and never seen looking design, it has a 6.57" AMOLED Panel which is likely from TCL and not Samsung coz even Mi 10 uses TCL's Screen. This Phone got a notch, in the world of holes and Ful-Screen Designs, the Mi 10 Lite comes with a U-shape Drop Notch which looks not so cool.
Best part is there is a headphone jack on top and that's shocking coz Xiaomi ditched the 3.5mm jack from both the Mi 10 and 10 Pro. Quad Camera Setup, 48MP Primary Shooter, an Ultra Wide lens, Likely Telephoto and Depth with Dual LED Flash..
There's Snapdargon 765 5G CPU, which is based on 7 nm, gets Adreno 620 GPU, there's LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 2.1. There's also 4160mAh huge battery with 20W of fast charging, so pretty decent specificaitons with a decent design.

How to Use Technology To Optimize Your Business
Here are some examples of how you can use technology to optimize your business.
Improving Internal Systems in a Company
When it comes to business, they say time is money. When Internal systems are put into place, they will quickly begin to help the entire organization. You can implement changes that have a significant impact on overall results. Optimizing internal systems can help free up your employees' time so they can focus on other tasks. You'll have more hours in the day, and more completed when it's time to clock out.
Companies like Icreon.us specialize in helping businesses increase communication through their internal systems. Not every business is capable of organizing the way they operate, and that's why it's a good idea to bring in a specialist team to benefit from their second opinion.
Getting Different Platforms to Work Together
Having to move data from platform to platform can take up a lot of time especially if you have to copy and reformat it all. You find you have to move data and transactions among different apps, each requiring an individual effort which slows everything down.
Having platforms and systems that work and 'talk' together can eliminate these issues. All in one systems makes sure that data and information can be seen on all different platforms by every employee. When all your data is in one integrated system, it’s easier to get access to information for analytics and reports.
Digital Presence
You need to ensure you have a standout online presence for you company. It's what people will see when they search for your company on the internet so you need to make sure you create a good first impression.
However this just doesn't account for content that you control. A digital presence also includes online reviews left by previous customers. You need to have good control of your website and all online social media platforms. This is what potential customers will be looking at when deciding if they are going to work with you.
A lot of businesses employ companies that will run their social media accounts for them. It may be costly, but it means you and your employees don't have to spend time doing thinking up posts.
Transparency Acquiring New Clients
Often referred to as corporate transparency, this approach allows a company’s actions to be visible and accessible to people, both inside and outside the organization. The benefits? You gain more trust and build a sound reputation.
A great way to do this is by staying active in the community. Get to know the local people and build trust. You will also increase one of the best forms of advertising - word of mouth.
Depending on what type of business you are, showing how you operate is another way to build trust with potential clients/customers. Even if your business isn't one for being on display, publish papers with details about how you operate. You can also post behind-the-scenes photos online to give your followers the inside scoop.
Potential customers/clients always want to know what's going on within the company, especially if something goes wrong. In this case, ensure that you release the information yourself and explain what happened. Clients are more likely to forgive and forget this way.

Church Text To Give: How Can Mobile Giving For Churches Help Increase Donations
Here are the ways that mobile giving can help increase donations for your church:
1. Convenience
The primary advantage of the Text-to-Give option is that it makes the donation process more straightforward for your congregation. Today, most people always have their phones in hand. That’s why it’s sensible for churches to cater to people who prefer this method of giving.
Convenience is a driving factor in encouraging people to donate to your church. The widespread use of texting can aid your cause and allow church members to send in funds without difficulty.
Additionally, offering other payment options like credit cards and checks can help boost your donations because some people prefer these methods. You can even set up a website and have members donate through that platform.
2. Accessibility
The fact that the Text-to-Give option is always available for your congregation can help motivate them into giving consistently; thus, increasing the donations that come your way. Accessibility is another factor that can facilitate the growth of your funds.
Your congregation is made up of people from all walks of life. Some of them aren’t always present during the services because of career obligations. Their jobs may require them to travel a lot.
Setting up a Text-to-Give alternative enables them to continue supporting the church even while they aren’t around to drop their tithes personally. They can just send in the funds digitally and fulfill their responsibilities as part of the community.
3. Recurring Donations You can also increase donations with text giving, specifically through recurring contributions. While Text-to-Give makes the process more convenient for first-time givers, it also gives them the option to donate again automatically.
While most people who do recurring donations often give in smaller amounts each month or week, they actually end up making a significant, long-term impact through their regular contributions. Encouraging habitual tithing also helps your church by stabilizing its budget.
In knowing the precise amount of donations that will be going into the church account each month, you can allocate the appropriate funds for each ministry and mission work without worrying about sustainability in the long run.
Set up the recurring donations option intuitively by:
● Keep Donation Forms Concise – Asking donors to fill-up a lot of fields increases the likelihood that they’ll abandon the process and you end up without any funds at all. Minimize the questions that they have to answer down to the basics like name, contact information, and payment details.
● Provide Several Payment Choices – With Text-to-Give, the carrier processes the donation and the amount is charged to the donor’s phone bill. However, you should also offer alternatives and accept payments through credit or debit cards to boost the chances of recurring gifts. If you can’t provide other options, state it upfront; right on your donation landing page, not on the last part of the transaction.
● Send a Thank-You Note – Even if people opt not to be recurring donors just yet, there’s still hope that they’ll change their minds and become regular givers in the future. Cultivate your relationship with them by sending a simple Thank-You note and letting them know that their contribution makes a significant difference.
● Offer Non-Monetary Incentives – To encourage first-time givers to set up recurring donations, you can offer incentives when they do. It doesn’t even have to be in the form of cash. You can give them an exclusive tour of your church or special promotional items. You can even show your appreciation to them through social media shout-outs.
● Suggest Donation Amounts – Make the process more straightforward for donors by creating pre-determined donation amounts that they can click. It eliminates the worry of having to guess how much they should give. The preset can be as low as one dollar to as high as 50 USD.
● Use Other Forms of Authentication – A significant issue with mobile giving is with the account creation because most people tend to forget their passwords. To avoid this problem and simplify the process, you can set up other ways to verify the identity of the user every time they log in, such as through email or social media authentication.
4. Mobility
It’s great how technology allows people to execute tasks on-the-go. The same goes for Text-to-Give. Your church members can donate money right when divine inspiration strikes. They just need to send a message to your organization’s short code or shortened phone number containing the keyword, whether they’re waiting in line at a coffee shop or taking a break at the park.
This aspect is complemented by your donation landing page, which is a web page that’s designed to accept the giver’s personal and payment details. Plus, because people will be opening it through their smartphones, its layout should be mobile-friendly.
These are the components of a mobile-friendly donation page:
● Intuitive – The page should make the giving process straightforward for donors. As mentioned above, there should be minimal fields for the user to fill-up. Moreover, eliminate distracting design elements that provide clutter to the web page.
● Responsive – Responsive web design is the practice of ensuring that your web page looks excellent regardless of whether the donor is accessing the web page through their computers or mobile phones. While the sizes may differ, the layout shouldn’t look considerably different from your website.
● Complete – The elements found in your website and in the donation web page must be similar. Make sure that all payment options work regardless of the device that the donor is using.
● In-Theme – Your donation landing page should feel part of your organization’s website. It shouldn’t stick out like a sore thumb. Incorporate your church colors and other design elements into the page for consistency.
5. Safety
Today’s SMS technology has become more sophisticated. It’s safer than it was during its early years. Text messages are encrypted as they’re carried over to the cell tower. It’s then decrypted and sent to the mobile carrier’s database before the recipient gets the message.
Fortunately, some apps specialize in encrypting text messages. iPhone users can enjoy this feature through iMessage while there are lots of options available on the Play Store for those with Android phones.
Moreover, most Text-to-Give platforms already have security measures in place to protect your donor’s information so your congregation won’t have to worry about breaches.
You can also do your part to ensure the safety of your donor’s data through:
● Creating a Privacy Policy – Craft a privacy policy and disseminate the information internally. Your team must understand the importance of protecting the giver’s data in earning their trust and being excellent stewards of the church funds. You should clearly communicate what data can and can’t be disclosed under various circumstances.
● Conducting PCI Compliance Audits – The Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards must be met by your Text-to-Give service provider as well as your organization’s processes to hold credit card information. You can assign time each month or quarter to evaluate your payment practices and always update your systems to patch up vulnerabilities.
● Using Password Alternatives – Eliminating the need for lengthy passwords will not only aid the convenience of the donation process for your supporters, but the alternatives will also make their accounts more secure. Two-factor authentication will only require a few clicks while adding an extra layer of protection for church-givers.
Meanwhile, these are the processes that your Text-to-Give service provider should have for protecting your donor’s data:
● Utilizing Fraud Detection Tactics – They must also be proficient in spotting fraud red flags. There must be filters that sift through each message and transaction. These algorithms can distinguish and prevent scams from damaging your reputation as well as destroying your donor’s trust in the organization.
● Practicing Proper Data Storage – You should consider asking your service provider their data storage practices. Determine what type of servers they have and inquire whether the communication between devices and carriers are encrypted.
6. Flexibility
A Text-to-Give campaign can be conducted simultaneously with other marketing strategies. Its versatility allows you to either focus on collecting funds through this method or using it to complement your other plans.
This fundraising strategy works well with:
● Email Campaigns – Your e-newsletter is an excellent donor engagement tool. Make sure to add your Text-to-Give shortcode, keyword, and even a QR code for your donation page to all your email correspondences, except for Thank-You notes to those who’ve already given their support because it may appear as if their offering was insufficient for the cause.
● Direct Mail Appeals – For church members on the older side, you may be able to reach and connect to them more through direct mail. If so, you should also include the shortcode and keyword for your campaign. You may also want to provide a concise walkthrough to guide them through the process as they may not be as tech-savvy as the younger generation of givers.
● Programs and Events – The Text-to-Give campaign can also complement your church’s fundraising programs and events. It can be an alternative to other donation methods like cash and credit cards to make it convenient for donors to support the organization financially.
● Social Media Movements – Take advantage of the power and reach of social media to blast your Text-to-Give process to your followers. You never know when divine inspiration may strike, so it pays to make the importance of giving stay on top of your church member’s minds by boosting your digital presence.
7. Affordability
While purchasing a shortcode is expensive, most Text-to-Give service providers allow you to use their universal shortened phone number. You just have to choose a unique keyword to make sure that the funds intended for your organization are directed to the church’s bank account.
This method of giving can be affordable for donors as well because they have the power to choose their gifts according to their budget. It’s all a matter of using appropriate wording in your appeals.
For example, you can make the task of sending money more manageable by asking for “a small 5 USD fee” rather than the commandeering and direct sound of “a 5 USD fee.” While it’s technically the same amount, the first way of phrasing it gives it a reasonable perception.
Other words you should incorporate in your donation appeal to boost its effectiveness are:
● Immediately – In this age of instant gratification, people want to witness an impact in real-time. While the return is less concrete when it comes to church donations, you can give givers the same sensation by emphasizing how they can make a difference right now as well as sending a Thank-You note immediately after the transaction has been completed.
● You – Personalize your call-to-action by using the word you. Focus on how the donor’s actions can have a significant impact on the mission work or ministry you’re funding. Instead of saying, “We need to raise 5,000 USD for our brother’s mission in Asia,” it’s better to send this message “You can help send our missionary brother to reach unbelievers in Asia by donating here.”
● Because – Another crucial factor in ensuring more donations is to provide a valid reason as to why supporters should give their money to the church. It’s not enough to inform them of the amount you need to raise. You should tell them why you’re doing it.
Conclusion
Text-to-Give campaigns can help you boost the number of donations you receive from donors by making the process more convenient and accessible for them. This fundraising method also enables them to give when they feel like it, even while waiting in line at a coffee shop.
Moreover, most platforms allow users to set up recurring contributions, which can have a significant financial impact in your church in the long run. The tool is secure, too, so you don’t have to worry about data breaches.
Lastly, the software can be used with other fundraising tactics like email campaigns, direct mail appeals, events, and social media movements without co
